it's the baywatch of the 80ties, well it's better but it's
pretty camp. for instance it's totally unbelievable

Since when a show has to be believable to be good? A-Team
had a chopper chase every episode, the rifle guns never hit
no one and it was still a damn good show not that Miami Vice
is tho.

The best thing about Macgyver and the A-Team was that both
had a very similar episode layout, it started with some kind
of helpless victim/s who was being oppressed by a much
stronger force with less than noble intentions, then the
good visiting heroes would have to build traps and other
shit using mundane items in order to defeat the evil doers,
like some kind of analogy that cooperation and intelligence
can defeat even the strongest military force.

i think it kind of pretends it. in any case the unrealism
doesn't add to it.

its great, i like the 80s tunes & the 80s color but the
story remains the same ! to make it short : some dude
betrays his boss & get killed just before the cops arrives &
don johnson cries at the end. still great tv prog, much
better than those recent craps..

It's highly stylised, even by 80s standards, how does it
"pretend" to be "beliveable". What rot, what pish. It's good
telly. If you want social realism go queue for bread in the
Third World. Like I do, not that I think it's that funny
anymore. I'd rather watch Miami Vice.

mentioning Twin Peaks in the same sentence as Miami Vice?!

Two completely different levels of quality

it's just so dumb the police inspector gives sonny the car,
a lamborghini i think, maybe a ferarri, as a goodbye gift in
the end

but i don't want to speak so bad about miami vice, it's
pretty cool

There's an "end"? I never knew that. I thought they were
still fighting drug lords in pastel coloured haciendas.

I certainly appreciate Michael Mann, though. The Insider,
Heat & Collateral were good movies, and even the Miami Vice
movie had some decent moments.

Collateral, at times, looks like it was shot with a DV-cam.
Watch the cab scenes, shot through the wind shield. I know
it's a million dollar Viper cam or something equally
expensive, but the quality just isn't 35mm. It's too flat.
