just found Aphex Twin Richard D James album for £1.99 in a charity shop, pretty pleased as I was just about to order it off amazon but now don't have to
so, what gems have you found in charity shops?

Over the years I've picked up about 300 copies of Erik Von Daniken's "Chariots of the Gods".

i'm guessing what you call charity shops we yanks call thrift stores?
i love thrift stores. nearly all my clothing is from them. recently i bought a new sport coat and a nice pair for pants for $15, which is a bit steep.
i have a theory that has so far held true that every thrift store has a vhs copy of jurassic park and one of twister.

The sounds of Martin Lenny's EXOTICA can always be found, too. Me? I like digging through the glass things and book section. Oldies tunes, all of the time!

I got an amazing oldschool cheese slicer, the type with a wire and a roller and it cuts sweet little slabs of cheese to make cheese on toast sooo good, and it was only 10p.
Force charity shop, Heavitree, Exeter, BIG UP!

charity shops are depressing. they are a last resort, scraping together meagre money while the big money goes elsewhere.
