You tried, which is good enough if you are wmw. Also, death
metal is music made in an unholy way, therefore its satans
music and the music of evil.

one should not endorse evil things.

on another related note, people who listen to death metal
are.

Don't know these guys and am not entirely sure if the things
I listen to once in a while aren't actualy gring core, but
check these guys: Antigama, Nyia, Behemoth, Yattering (last
two are black influenced death). I'm patriotic when it comes
to metal, yes.

I like Behemoth a lot. I'll check out the other stuff...you
should definitely check out psyopus.

Downloading

For start check out:
Yattering - Genocide
Antigama - Discomfort
Antigama - Zeroland
Nyia - Head Held High
Nyia/Antigama - Split
Kobong - Chmury nie było

The last one isn't really death, but this is where both
Antigama and Nyia are coming from. In my biased opinion it's
the best metal album ever made.

What's your slsk username? If I add you to my list, you'll
be able to get all these from the "CD Backups" folder.

these fine albums?

In the order of decreasing indecipherability: Antigama ->
Yattering -> Nyia -> Kobong

And of course Chaosphere is better than Destroy Erase
whatever.

You should get Ulver's "Nattens Madrigal", it's one of the
most intense albums i have ever heard. It's fast paced, with
shitty sound quality, but amazing and mezmerising
compositions.

I don't "get" death metal. I'm amused by some of the
costumes and gear they use to look "bad" and "evil". The
music is noisy but for the most part buildt on pretty
standard cliches that are easily recognised after a few
listening experiences. I'd rather listen to pure noise music
as it seems more free and abstract and not so tied to a
ridiculous context.

Most of the metal bands I listen to wear band t-shirts,
jeans and buzz cuts on stage....
And Yeah I listen to a really wide variety of music...fuck I
was craving wu-tang yesterday and now joanna newsom this
morning.

Maybe you're thinking of Black-Metal (lyrics/imagery is more
of a satanic nature), that your countrymen are pretty good
at producing. Death-Metal is more about.... DEATH! and gore
and dark shit.. There are even sub genres to death/black
etc.

Burzum is great btw..

Immortal look pretty funny in their outfit

Gorguts and CRYPTOPSY.

Although Cryptopsy were considerably more awesome with Lord
Worm.

Agreed. None So Vile is a masterpiece. Have you heard Once
Was Not featuring the triumphant return of the vermin
himself? Though now he's out of the band again. Blink and
you missed him.

Obscura by Gorguts is one of the weirdest death metal albums
ever. Heavier than six beerdrinking fucks but made of insane
rhythms that change every three seconds.

god, i can't believe you made us listen to that shit while
we slept/woke up last week. i had such a fucking hard time
figuring out why it sounded like your mom was just puking
all over the room.

Thanks to Gorguts I finally have something to compare
Antigama to. It's simply Gorguts with more grind and less
death. A bit heavier sounding too.

None No Vile is just so satisfying and definitive that I
never felt a pressing need to get Once Was Not. But I
probably should.

Gorguts is just the best. God Quebec is so kvlt.

Well, download first and check it out before you buy. I
don't think it's quite as strong material but maybe hearing
Flo and Worm brutalizing together again is worth it.
Honestly, I think they chose to tone it down thematically a
bit compared to olden days.
