Monoid: What do you think is more reasonable?

pulseclock: neither, you dont need an ism to live
life, but agnosticism isn't denial.

to me.

goDel: atheism would seem to me more rational. and
agnosticism more reasonable in the context of discussions
with 'normal' religions.

BoxBob-K23: I'm atheistic in relation to the
monotheisms, agnostic in relation to things I know less
about.

= unknowing)

Barcode: Neither thanks. If it's not important to
any other animal, why should it be important to me?

AMPI MAX: agnostic. we are just smelly humans who
will never know either way no matter how we debate the
subject. aetheism is too conclusive and arrogant.

Drunken Mastah: It probably isn't important to any
other animal whether or not something is important to any
other animal either, but you still seem to find it
important...

Barcode: I just told you I don't find it important,
so why are you telling me I do? By virtue of taking part in
a theological
discussion doesn't necessarily make it important.

cyrstal dude: i feel sory for you because when the
lord comes back then you willthink that he is your only way
to not fry in hell for eternity. i think that you better
have a different outlook toward the lord because he is there
watching over you and he can easily turn his back on you
when you cry out in a desperate need that might be your only
hope.

Drunken Mastah: You obviously find what other
animals find important to be important. Otherwise, you
wouldn't base what it is you are supposed to find important
on what other animals find
important. However, it isn't clear that other animals find
what other animals find important to be important. You are
therefore contradicting yourself when you claim that what
isn't important to other animals is important to you to such
an extent that you base what you find important on it.

Drunken Mastah: Actually it's ten.

If you take the i from the first important, the m from the
second, and so on, you get nine letters which make up i m p
o r t a n t.

J198: i am leaning towards atheism lately partly
because of writings and debates by dawkins, hitchens and
harris.

i can't help but agreeing that belief in an omnipotent god
as a creator and ruler is indeed delusional.

larn: i read Plato and became aware of the possible
existence of a metapysical realm beyond or above the sensory
world. I came to understand that the human mind could
concieve of a realm of which the empiricle world was
epiphenomenal. Finaly i came to believe that in a certain
sense the empiricle world was not truly real, at least not
as real as the archetypal realm beyond it.

important, and I DON'T find it important, and this
discussion is NOT important either. If you want to waste
your time inventing contradictions that's up to you - good
luck.

BoxBob-K23: Oh wow - someone who was actually
"converted" by dawkins, hitchens and harris! The Atheist
Alliance is increasing in numbers.

I think it's important that work like this is going on.
Hitchens' book is especially Great - unlike the book's
subject matter har har!

But most of this recent debate misses the point. It doesn't
go far enough in explaining what makes religions so much
fun: it has to do with cool drinks and crazy hats, and
Pope-mobiles in teh nite. The coolest drink is the blood of
a jew, yum yummy.

some cloud of dark matter.

could you roll a spliff from dark matter?

in his own anti-religious beliefs that he's become just as
ignorant as those he claims to be ignorant.

DiaZoHeXagon: I've never really understood why
people get so upset over this. If I believe in God or not
doesn't or shouldn't effect anyone. I've always been down
for discussion, I think it's always very interesting to both
parties learning about other points of views as long as no
one is trying to convert each other. Every point of view is
a theory and all require some amount of faith (in a
non-religious way). What makes one point of view better? Yet
some jackass must always say "I feel bad for you, because
you're going to hell" which is very opposite of what it is
you preach, since judgment does not belong to you, or "you
are just ignorant and some brainwahed fool to believe in
something that isn't tangible" why should you care, aren't
we all just dust anyways? What is our constant desire to
always convert each other by insults?
