Man did he deserve that oscar for training day or what?!
It's a fantastic movie!

That Halle Berry i don't trust tho, acting that emotional...
I mean, if you are good enough an actor to win an oscar, you
can sure as hell act well enought to fake that emotion... I
just don't believe her... sorry :)

It reminded me of a scene from that film Don't Be A Menace
To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood...

its so sad that the Academy won't acknowledge David Lynch as
one of the best directors there is. I'm shocked he was even
nominated.

and Mulholland Drive wasn't even nominated for best film????
go figure...

hey man, they even let Halle Berry win! I think it's not
going at all well with the Academy.

Pant: is MD any good? I like nearly all Lynch's films,
enjoyed (and understood as far as possible) Lost Highway,
but have heard conflicting reports about MD... you think?

i've heard most people thought it was excelent...

...but anyway my view is that it is his best film, from
those i've seen anyway. Its also the best film i've ever
seen at the cinema. Its most similar to Lost Highway so if
you like that you'll love Mulholland Drive.

Eraserhead is my second fave, if you like lynch you have to
see this film...

you will never look at pencils the same way again : )

denzel is one of my favourite actors - i was well pleased
when he won, especially since i had no idea he had been
nominated until i woke up and that oscar was being given out
by julia "kill me now" roberts

halle berry sucks shit

Halle Berry was amazing in Monster's Ball, don't discuss the
issue unless you have seen the film. She didn't get the
award for playing Storm in X-men you know...

Although I thought LoTR deserved best film, and Russel Crow
best Actor, although I never saw training day or In The
Bedroom so I can't really say.

Halle Berry and Jon Travolta lost a bit of my respect after
seeing Swordfish, but then I realized how many laughs I got
out of that film and am now grateful for it. The hill
rollin scene was classic!

I'd like to see Monster's Ball, if anything just for Bill
Bob.

actually,
the fact that david lynch was even nominated is pretty cool
considering the academy generally doesn't care for movies
like mulholland drive.
Ron Howard, just like Zemekis (spelling?) is the kind of
director the Acedemy loves. Uncontraversial movies like
Beautiful mind that make lots of cash are shoe ins to win
oscars.
LOTR won't win best pic or best director untill the 3 one is
out in 2 years.
and the other 3 movies were not nearly as commercially
sucessful; and thats what the academy awards is all
about;commercials.

i wish amelie and memento had won SOMETHING though.
and Ben Kingsly for that matter.

Denzel is the man.......he shoulda won for malcolm X if you
ask me =) Halle was AMAZING in monsters ball.....i wonder
why billy bob didn't get nominated tho....he was equally as
great in that film.....which i think shoulda been nominated
for best movie.

LOTR didn't win, which surprised me, but after thinking
about it i thought that the film didn't really have an
ending, and i think the academy automatically pushed it
aside thinking it was a trilogy so it can wait till the next
movie. that bites but i think it may be the reality of it.
peter jackson did some amazing directing in that film and i
feel like he shoulda won SOMETHING!!

In the Bedroom is a great movie too....see it!

Lynch is a genius.....eraserhead is one of my all time
fav's....which i would like to get on DVD someday!!

he's not a COMPANY man, so thats why he's always stepped
over. remember the oscars are a BUSINESS.....sometimes it's
not about the BEST ....but about what studio, how popular,
etc....and that sucks!!
