If anyone here likes Beck, check out the song streaming on
his site.

LAZY_TITLE

This might be one of his best.

trainwrecks that were guero and the information.

.....Meanwhile I miss the funkiness of those albums. It's a
shame :(

one of his best? as much as i love beck, he has a
tendency to make good songs that sound an aweful lot like
other people's songs (example> paper tiger). anyone saying
that chemtrails is beck's return to proper songwriting
should probabyl check out The Four Horsemen by Aphrodite's
Child.
i mean, i still LOVE beck and i'm enjoying the new album,
but it really disapoints me off that he keeps ripping off...
er.. being inspired by other peoples music to such a great
extent :(

Yep, apparently it's "much more rock than dance". I was
hoping for another Guero or The Information, I love those
two albums to pieces.

i like it, a nice easy listen to throw on for a bit,
although i'm seeing this as being an album where the
individual tracks don't stand out as much.

it's too bad that everything he releases will inevitable be
compared to odelay! and thus be shit in a relative sense.

it doesn't offend.

copy from my sa post:

I quite like it. A few tracks are too reliant on standard
Beckism (Youthless is basically Cellphone's Dead with
different vocals), Profanity Prayers is kinda boring and the
mixing/production is fucking awful most of the time. The
songs themselves are really appealing, though, but I wish
he'd saved Information and this album, cut a bunch of the
Information slack and released it. With a different
producer, that is.

Eh, now when I listen to it, I'm not as enthusiastic about
it. It's a good album, but it doesn't seem like something
that will last. As in, getting bored of it would be easy. I
like the vocals on some of them. the song Youthless, is like
a slightly better version of Cellphone's Dead. I'd have to
say that Walls, is currently my favorite. But, it is still
the usual Beck. Him taking a different style from other
artists with each album.
