Thai dish Pak-Pow (almost certainly spelt wrong)

Learnt of my G/f thai step mum:

fry garlic and onions (+chopped thing green chillis for
added heat)
add mince beef - fry til brown
add soy sauce
add large de-seeded mild chilis
add oyster sauce (plenty of)
add chopped tenderheart cabbage until cooked

serve with rice

I haven't had a bowl of lawl for the longest of times, I
remember it tasting a little spicy, but who knows. I think
I've made Pak-Pow before, minus the tenderheart cabbage.
I'll have to look for that next time, thanks.

Has anyone here ever had deviled eggs with paprika sprinkled
on top? I was thinking of starting a thread about them.

yeah the cabbage is an addition of mine actually but it goes
really well.

The same dish works with cubed pork instead of beef

Potatoes. Chop into lil squares. Fry in a pan with butter.
You might consider frying the whole thing with finely
chopped onion and garlic. Cook until chips are golden and
crisp

These are LITTLE SQUARE CHIPS and they've been in my family
for years. They are goood

heres a really good grilled chicken & roast pumpkin salad

chicken breast
pumpkin
garlic
rosemary
pinenuts (handful)
goats cheese feta / quark / persian feta
red onion
mixed salad greens (rocket / mesculin / chard etc)

dice up your pumpkin (inch cubes). toss in a pan with olive
oil, rosemary and sliced garlic. put the whole pan in a hot
oven (240C) for 10 minutes.

butterfly the chicken breast (halved laterally), cover in
more chopped garlic, rosemary and olive oil. grill or pan
fry.

while everything is cooking, dry roast your pinenuts in a
shallow pan for a minute or so.

slice up the grilled chicken, and some red onion.

toss together the pinenuts, onion, goats cheese feta, roast
pumpkin and salad greens in a bowl. dress with olive oil if
necessary.

turn out the salad onto a plate, lay the grilled chicken on
top.

serve up with good company and some wine :)

pour some coconut milk into a pan with red curry paste,
then cook some fine sliced chicken in it.
add veggies like zucchini, paprika and soy germ buds

voila, red chicken curry

this always works and the meat is really soft everytime

Space Cake

Ingredients
1 cup finely ground pure marijuana
1 cup flour
1 cup water
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cocoa powder
5 tbsp butter or margarine
1 cup sugar

Instructions
Preheat oven to 300º Celsius (~550º F).
Grease a non-stick baking tray or use non-stick wax paper to
cover base.
Place butter and sugar in a bowl and combine till you have a
thick batter.
Add flour, baking powder, marijuana and cocoa powder and
combine with small amounts of water at a time till smooth.
If adding any of the additional ingredients, add now.
Using a table spoon place a scoopful of batter on tray, 0.5"
apart from each other and sides of the tray.
Place tray in oven and allow to bake for 10 to 20 minutes,
until centre is cooked. (Pricking a toothpick in the centre
will let you know, if the batter sticks to the pick, it's
not ready yet).
Remove from oven, allow to cool down....and enjoy the ride!

devilled eggs are a very common picnic food here. I think
they are delicious, along with amish potato salad (the
yellow kind, the white new york style is good
too).

Someone mentioned thai. I am a big fan of peanut satay type
sauces. I make a simple stir-fry with celery, nuts, shrimp
or chicken and peanut-garlic sauce. Sometimes Ill add water
chesnuts or something but for this particular dish I often
just like to keep it simple.
