beeing a long time fan of the book, and of gibson in
general, i abandoned hope long time ago when the project
between gibson and chris cunningham were working on was
canceled.. tonight a friend of mine metions that there are
plans on working on a film based on the book so i looked it
up and this is what wikipedia has to offer about this new
project.

"On May 18th, 2007 Comingsoon.net reported a Neuromancer
film is in the works, with Joseph Kahn, director of Torque
in line to direct.[13] The Internet Movie Database lists the
film's release year as 2009. Hayden Christensen is set to
star."

this is going to be a disaster and has got me quite a bit
upset...

By the way, who do you think would make a good Case?

Perhaps Christian Bale?

i really don't care if you belive me or not... but you
shouldn't take out your "frustration" on me because our dear
marlowe belives that you are to much of a star wars fan to
see through, what me and him (and most likely bunch of other
people) think looks like trash, new star wars thing...

and no, i'm not lying about that thing i said earlier :)

I don't know why I read any of the Star Wars books - I only
read the ones set about the time of the original trilogy...
maybe trying to recapture the magic of childhood. Or maybe
to pass the time.

I'll tell you how it happened.. I've always enjoyed
Audiobooks and I came across this 10 gig Star Wars audiobook
haul at Oink (r.i.p.) so I thought "hmm, wonder if this is
any good." Well, most of it was duff, but I quite liked some
of it in a campy sort of way. Then in a bookshop I came
across "Dark Lord Rising" about the rise of Vader right
after Ep III and I thought "hmm, wonder if this is any good"
and so I bought it and read and thought it was alright, so i
got a few more cheap, 2nd hand.... and that's the story of
my entire life up until this moment.

yeah ok, didn't know there were audiobook versions of star
wars books, but then again it's star wars and it has been
crammed into nearly every form of media known to man...

i think i've only ever once listened to a whole adiobook,
The Naked Lunch read by William S. Burroughs himself... then
again i've listened to some random parts of Discworld
audiobooks
