it's too much in the world music terrain which i don't like
much i must say. however i do like ali farka toure blues
music but for some reason i don't find that as 'classic'
world music. thanks for recommending though!

Well I wouldn't say it was too much 'world music' since it's
a virtuous American guitarist and an Indian musician.. it
sounds like a cross between Indian music and American folk
music, mon.

i checked out some of it..it's alright yeah, but i think im
in for something different. virtuosity plays very little
importance in my book, it's all about feeling. with these
older indian tunes is all about that certain emotion which
puts smile on my face..it's just fun. the whole sublime
frequencies for example is based on fun rather than
virtuosity..it's what separates it from classic world music.
buy saying that, there's some world music im quite fond of.
even from indian musicians..sitar masters.

plaidzebra, not sure what that is?

you can be a virtuouso and still have emotion and feeling
you know... in fact a virtuouso MUST have emotion and
feeling, otherwise they're just technical whilst a virtuous
exists beyond technique.

i think the difference here is between indian classical and
indian madness
