Ours was the chalet opposite the Queen Vic with all the
banners on the window..

Squarepusher was fantastic... less time than i expected but
played about 5 unreleased tracks including that electric
ballroom acid rinse and the laforet 2004 one. Ended on "cmon
my selctor" and "journey to redham"

- global Goon was a great opener on the friday... lush
electro
- vential snares - hectic as always
- kelpe and drexia stingray were the suprise highlights for
us
- beardyman was awesome with his pure beatbox
techno/dubstep.. astounding really
- mike dred and doubtfull guest were fantastic too.....i
was at the apex of major class a's then
- ceephax acid set was usually stormer but his dj set was
pure crap.... laid on the cheeze way too much
- PHIL HARTNOLL delvered the techno that works
- poool party was cheezy techno all the way
missed modeselktor, luke vibert.... left plaid after once
track... too samey. Kode 9 sucked but Mala was amazing.

Overall... top of the notches!!

dopplereffekt never payed as his synth was broken....
stingray's set one of the highlights.. because i'm
unfamiliar with them and they blew us away. 5 black guys
playing kraftwork-like sythy techno

i'll have some clips of various things by he end of the
week.

your talking about model 500. stingray was up there with the
best set of the weekend. he played for 1.5hrs and was tight
as fuck. i recorded the first hour on my sony hd camera.
expect some distortion on the bass though as the funktion
soundsystem was impossible to get away from. will be good
enough for track id's though. i also recorded the whole of
squarepushers set (although apart from a few standout tracks
i thought he was poor. his new material sounds worse than
hello everything but you can judge for urselves as the
quality of that recording is good). bogdan was wicked
(recorded that too). fucking shame about dopplereffekt
absolutely gutted. i also recorded full sets from bochum
welt and d'arcangelo from the bloc weekender. expect
mediafire uploads in the next few weeks when i get around to
digitising all the dv tapes.

yeh bogdan was good - playing all the old classix

i was expecting a lot more from pusher.....2 hours would
have been nice - like it said on the listing. Looking
forward tot he recording though behindthebeats

also the difference in the bang and face rooms sound-systems
was huge. Upstairs was shite unless you were 3 rows form the
front. Downstairs was perfect temperature and noise levels
all round.

was gutted about dopplereffekt, model 500 ruled, the
downstairs bit stank of ham sandwiches

stingray was amazing. I saw him without his mask, just
before he went on stage!

global goon was incredible, he played all new tracks -
nothing like his rephlex releases

ceephaxes drunk DJ session was quite funny for ten minutes,
but his live set was great

squarepusher, good, but pretty sloppy on his bass for some
tracks.

overall it was mind blowing!

i liked bogdan, spectra, bong ra, squarepusher was ok, nice
way to end the evening, overall i had an ok time, i was in
appartment 530. i need to ask you guys something important,
on sunday morning me and my buddy went to the beech at about
3am, i noticed some weird lights in the sky, they looked
like orbs, balls of light flying around randomly, it seemed
to be above the resort, i wondered if it was something which
bangface were doing, but i could not work it out. did anyone
else see that?

oh wow, sucks for dopplereffekt. he was listed as the
primary act too (or one of them) so that must have been a
pisser for everyone there. did someone replace him?

You are wrongly informed about Dopplereffekt. His machines
didn't crash, the organizers hadn't installed the right
sampling memory. Too bad for music.

Dopplereffekt's keyboard was a Korg Triton LE or omething
and it had the wrong sampling memory installed. The
organisers tried all night to find someone with the memory
expansion card but obviously couldn't. Global goon was
amazing i thought, but weirdly he played all Syntheme's
tracks. Does this mean he is trying to tell us something?
