Hey man. Could you recommend me some clubs in Reykjavik for the weekend following the 1-st of May? It's been a while since I actively took part in the night life of the city and I really don't want to go back to the overly loud dance-oriented places at Laugavegur I usually visited and which witnessed more than one failure of mine HAHA. |

Haha, what was your failure on that show? The ultrapositive drunkenness? You should have seen my convulsive dance. What did my failures look like? They looked like an extremely handsome athletic bearded person getting into a taxi alone and before 4AM even though just one hour before all signs on heavens and earth had pointed to a much more sexy resolution. |

sorry dude, didn't notice this thred... to tell you the truth most clubs are shit, but i mostly go to Dillon, Barinn and Celtic Cross... on the other hand i don't frequent the clubs so i'm not the best judge :p |

been writing papers for classes on my last term in Menntaskólinn við HamrahlÃð (MH), studying for some radom history exams and now for finals so i've been off the met the past week... man i'm glad that i'm finising school |

and thirdly, if you don't want to go to bars that are on laugarvegur which are overly crowded and noisey i haven't got a clue were to find them... good local bars here are about as common as good electronic music in SkÃfan (excluding afx and boc for the hipsters who think they've just found the missing link when they pick up those records) |

Oh, you reminded me the name of the one I used to visit - Barinn. Hard do forget such a name, but I managed somehow. It's a good enough club, though really loud and frantic. I haven't travelled a lot in my life, but I did visit my share of countries and the music in clubs of Poland and Iceland is the loudest I witnessed. I'm getting too old for this shit. I get frustrated and subsequetly simply obnoxious if I cannot understand what the other person is saying. Why cannot all the places be like Prague? |

You could also check out Hressó (Hressingarskálinn) on Austurstræti (across the street there's a 10/11 store)... there are sometime small concerts there but you can both sit inside where there is not always that much noise or outside (you go into Hressó and go out near where the stage is... there you can sit by a table, smoke, drink etc. and there is almost never any noise there, just bunch of people talking and chilling... |

Thanks Nragzxer, I'll check the places you mentioned. It will be next weekend however, cause it occured that those doublecrossing PS3-price-on-occasion-of-gta4-raising bastards at Elko took most of my money. I'm left with around 3000kr and I know this would last me an hour if I left tonight. To make matters worse, I will have to wait until the 12-th of May for my salary. But I will prevail!! The fridge is full. |
