Are you happy?

offline Advocate on 2008-04-26 16:18 [#02198278]
Points: 3319 Status: Lurker

What a bunch of bullshit.

Most people pretend to be happy (for the sake of others),
but ultimately they're not.

No one's happy, and that's the bottom line.

Humans should commit collective suicide.

dizcusssss,

In the everyday world, contentment outranks happiness.
However, since bother are illusory, they are also equal and
the same.

Happiness runs in a circular motion
Thought is like a little boat upon the sea.
Everybody is a part of everything anyway,
You can have everything if you let yourself be.

When I have stereotypical "bad luck", I feel terrible. Like
the past few days, my hours are being cut at work and I
broke my glasses. Bah! Shitty!

But there's always a cure. Look for other jobs with more
hours, part time even. Use my old glasses until I can get
these repaired.

I still will feel like piss until the problems have been
resolved, but I know that fixing these things can be easy,
with a little work. So that thought keeps me somewhat in
good spirits.

The weather is kind of sad though. :[

Cheer up though. Things are worse for poor achmed in gaza.
He has to pull himself around on a skate board with three
wheels cos his legs got blown off. I'm sure he would like a
computer so he could live his dream of starting a website
selling shells, but instead he has to get medicine for his
sister who was raped and beaten by israeli soldiers.

i've learnt that frailty is the only value that help me
survive. not the power, nor the money. those happiness
generators actually generate death since the night of times,
and the so called force imposes, rejects and represses. is
the pain, unpleasant but unavoidable, that help us going
thru rough times, that make us grow and appreciate the
smallest things. its your pain that make you open to the
others pain and eventually fell with them. suffering is a
virtue cos it allows you to understand and help one another,
and showing your weakness helps another to understand you.
nothing about buddha n stuff, we're all going to die after
all.

that's it exactly. i'm listening to these 80s songs and
they're making me smile, endorphins doing their magic....I
guess this makes me happy. but it's tough to be happy, truly
happy when there is so much suffering in the world. tolstoy
would agree with me.
