it is brilliant indeed. i love the jeck remix too - those
sudden drops and cuts just kill me every time.

cx,you a zoviet france song? when the first person showed me
hecker my immediate thought was 'this sounds like very
zoviet france influenced ambient music'

glasse: fuck yes i do, imo its the most exciting news ive
heard in long time. I have both reformed faction discs ,
and the official remaining Zoviet France have also just
released a limited edition 8"vinyl. Im a hardcore zoviet
france fan and try to promote them any time i possibly can,
forgive me ! its just any time somebody mentions how much
they love hecker i have to also mention somebody was imo
doing better ambient 10 years previous that had a huge
influence on hecker.

i dont think those Mego artists are bad, in fact far from it
i have deep respect for fennesz and hecker. i just tend not
to see people go back farther than those two artists (when
talking about ambient and glitchy soundscapes on idm forums)
and forget who laid the groundwork for them.

CX, for good ZF ambient i'd recommend Digilogue and Shadow
Thief of the Sun, Collusion, or Shouting at the ground if
you are in the mood for their weirder more broken AM radio
morrocon music transmissions side check out Loh Land and
Look into me (my two favorites)

Do you like Oval, Microstoria, Christoph Charles, Jim
O'Rourke?

Also Christoph Heemann although his stuff is hard to find
sometimes.

That is what this stuff is kinda reminding me of.

Z*F related I like:

Dead Voices on Air, Propeller, Rapoon, ambre/spybey & most
of his collab discs

I wanted to get the one spybey did with mick harris but they
took it off itunes.

its pretty good, sounds much more like scorn than mark
spybey though. i love oval (and 'so') and microstoria, but i
prefer lithops own stuff to his work in microstoria.
dead voices on air's stuff never grabbed me the same way ZF
did and rapoon has some great discs but a lot of boring ones
too. never heard Propeller though is that SPybey?

yea he was doing his drones and such under that name while
he was doing the song structured stuff with dvoa.

the newest dvoa, from labrador to madagascar is good.
storey is on some of it and it has some similarities to
rapoon/reformed faction.
