the english dub is the worst fucking shit, and it ruins the
movie.

I second this recommendation, though it's really something
you have to be in the mood for. (cough cough) Watch the
trailer thirty times in a row and you'll have an idea of
what to expect.

have you ever see puni puni poemii?

honestly, im guessing this might top it. but puni... it the
most random, absurdist silly anime i've ever seen. it's a
parody of excel saga (which is ridiculous on its own) by the
makers of excel saga. absolute nuttiness.

that's what i'm all about, totally absurd + out there fast
paced shit.

excel saga was a bit too cheesy for me although really
funny, ill check it out

even though its limp bizkit (>.<) this fan vid gives a
pretty decent sense of puni puni poemi (i mispeld it, adding
the i if that helps in finding torrents) and is really well
edited to boot. surprisingly well.

what a sick trailer,
hope theres not much said in the movie; i wonder
if one would be able to read subs in this picture-orgy

that seems a lot like excel saga, yeah. i am obsessed with
this totally violent/absurdist absolute left-field shit like
squidbillies too. just complete and utterly foul brutal
violence, sexual/drug/redneck humor

have you seen squidbillise? dead leaves and excel saga is
like comparing squidbillies and sesame street

Scientists discovered a way to record dreams. Only problem
is, the technology wasn't completed. So for the people who
used the device, their dream world started meshing with the
real world. Someone (will go unnamed) wanted to be able to
control everyones dreams, and in turn, the real world.

Its about dreams becoming real. Very abstract. VERY cool.

Thanks for the explaination.

An anime I would recommend is a non-Miyazaki
Ghibli-production called "Whisper of the Heart".

It is simply ...beautiful.

The reason it took me so long to respond to your response,
is because I was indeed masturbating to that picture.

Paprika is just a personal favorite of the ones I've seen.

Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Totoro, all really "easy
cheasy", but good nonetheless.

Sorry, but I don't have it on my HD any more.

Full name is Trava Fist Planet. That may yield more specific
results.

It's in this torrent, at least.

Dead Leaves is their idea of a western comic book done in
the style of a Japanese anime: it has Tank Girl undertones
but is no where close to as good as the Tank Girl comic
books. It's also somewhat of a shame that the Japanese view
us this way. I did enjoy it though.

Excel Saga is legendary. A few bits are missing here and
there but the way that it is done makes the anime even more
fun if yet more idiosyncratic. It's highly recommended but
the DVD has two sets of subtitles: the translation of the
speech and the translation of the seemingly random acts into
cultural jokes and references. Trying to watch it with both
on is maddening but enlightening.

i still need to sit down with few friends, turn off the
lights and just get blasted and watch this.

i watched the first like 5 minutes and it really is as
maddening as the trailer makes it look.

this movie surely doesn't need a trailer :> or there should
be only a white "dead leaves" writing on a black background
which wouldn't reveal the orgasmic action in this movie.

i'm sure that on the original dvd package half of it was
covered by "watch out - epilepsy" stickers. i tried to watch
it in total darkness but my eyes felt like popping out.

i didn't understand the plot at all. fuck it. i will watch
this a dozen times again to just be sure that i managed to
see every bit of paint in the scenes.
