Today, I worked a full shift, and I must have done a good
job, because at the end of the day my manager and owner
invited me to join them in a round of golf and have a few
beers (which I didn't drink because I'm not a slut, frat
boy, or middle aged, football, wing-wing eating man.)

It was a bit windy out, but I really enjoyed it. I've only
golfed 3 times in my life before this, and I forgot how
near-therapeutic it was.

If you golf, have you noticed this? It's a rather relaxing
sport, much like fishing (non competitive.)

). I have been playing since I was 10.

LOVE IT....

Its a very fun and interesting sport. I've always loved
watching it on television, which may seem strange to some.
But I really like the idea of the goal of the game. Trying
to get such a small ball into such a small target, from such
a distance with the fewest possible moves. That and the
outdoor aspect of it. Golf courses, at least the onces here
always look visually pleasing.

9 holes, every hole was a par 3, except for one, which was a
4. I shot a 53. Again, this is only my fourth time playing.
And its been 5 years since the last time I did. My clubs
used to be my grandfathers too, so they are very old and
outdated. The woods are actually wood. Persimmon, I think.

2 or 3 of the holes I made par on, but my first tee and two
others, i skimmed the top of the ball so it just rolled
along the ground 30 yards or so off the tee. Hahaha

I'm very good at a my short game I believe. My drives, tee
shots, and putts are what kills it. I may start playing now
that it is warming up outside.

I usually shoot in the low 90's but I have been known to
really stink it up out there on the course and shoot
100+...

I do not care though, I LOVE IT

Agreed. I don't play competitively, because I know I won't
do well. Its just fun to give it your best and see where the
ball goes. :D

me, but like I said, I have liked playing since I was
young.

I try to play 1nce a week here in SOCAL...especially now

I think I might load up some drums, get another 100 bucks
and run out to LA again. Just so we can play a round. Then
I'll call my mom and dad halfway home asking for help again
too.

I should shouldn't I? I've certainly lived a lot for only
being 19, but I have myself to blame for the parts that
weren't enjoyable.

So you're saying I can keep my drums? Haha, just kidding.

If I'm ever in that area again with a set of clubs, I'll let
you know though.

Golf isn't so bad, but some of the wankers that play it are.
Very competitive. Must have the best clubs. Dress like
fools.

It's a bit of a class thing over here.

Mmm yes. I can't stand the yuppies and such on some of the
courses. Thats all on my side of town. I go to mid-town to
play. Much cheaper, more relaxed.

I've palyed par-3 with the wife a few times. She beats me.
I can't hit the fucking ball straight. I'm useless at
ballsports. Tennis, squash, cricket, football, golf.......
hopeless.
