traktor (newest) will recognize it, and so will serato
scratch from what i understand, but you need the rane box
for that to work.

how much will you actively be mixing? cause if it's just
fades you could have your itunes set to a reasonable amount
of crossfade and just bang tunes into a playlist

i think itunes may be the best suggestion (as a temporary
thing) because i don't really have time to learn anything
else.

i just want to use the laptop as a third deck. not much
mixing as such. fuck it, i may just take my ipod again.

will look into traktor for the next gig tho. i thank you
sir.

Vinyl!

yes it's heavy but you can sit on it and it sounds best and
is fun

yes. Vinyl wins in every aspect apart from convenience. I
hate carting boxes of records everywhere. I'm also sick of
playing at venues with shitty decks. They can destroy my
vinyl AND ruin a set. I still love records though and plan
to always use some if i can.

Amen to everything you just said.
