I hope they take an interest, cause getting signed would
really be amazing, and so would some dollars!

better be good, those detroit boys will put you in a body
bag if the techno isn't of the finest quality!

sorry to sound rude, but have you heard any detroit techno
or know what submerge is into? if that sample above is
really what you sent them, i wouldn't be too hopeful of a
response...

he replied already and said he liked that one and 619.

i'm not trying to make detroit techno at all, if thats what
youre wondering.

i disagree a lot with you brisk - in fact when you create
music you should send demos to whatever label you can.
sometimes they might change their musical preferences if the
stuff is high quality enough.

pulseclock?

for sure, but theres more chance of being signed (or even
getting a response) from labels relevent to what you're
making. i guess i'm just really close to labels like
underground resistance, transmat, metroplex etc... they've
carved a well known sound for themselves, which is a million
miles away from what pulseclock is doing.

it's like venetian snares sending a gabber record to type
records. sure they might appreciate it, but signing
something like that is a totally different matter.

See that is what I was saying about not being afraid to be
cheeky. The e-toms, claps, and hat are all ace. There is a
little bit of a sex beat in there too I like.

My only critique would be that it never feels like it leaves
the intro, and it is because of the phased out synth line
that is running through most of it. That synth makes it
feel like a build up to something else that is about to
really drop, but then it never quite does.

Take that main synth and really variate it. Make me feel
like I went somewhere by the time I am done and can't wait
to repeat the track again.

Pulseclock you were doing better when I was mentoring you in
the ways of the electro-techno.

glasse nailed it. the main synth needs to drop after a bit
before making a fresh return.

yeah - would be great if the synth would drop and you add a
few notes on a lower octave with the 303 making a fat sexy
beat

just got back from skating at the birmingham skatepark,
fuckin fun. like riding waves.

thanks EVERYONE for saying what you think, it doesnt bother
me if someone doesnt like it, i mean it kinda sucks cause i
want to reach alot of people, and a messageboard is hard to
do that with, but i mean im not as like pure yet as Drexciya
was when they were doing like harnessed the storm and shit,
im just kinda like messin around, getting my feet wet, not
trying to be ELECTRO-TECHNO whatever.

i will work on this groove alittle later to work out the
synthlines and shit, thanks alot for your input everyone,
and i do agree i doubt Submerge will think highly of it, but
i tried, i just gotta find a label who would maybe into a
more Autechre type direction, but still keepin that detroit
style root.

i dont know, i love music.

Brisk i totally know where youre coming from, i was so
nervous man talking to ADE on the phone, cause ive only
really known about submerge for a couple months now, and
maybe detroit techno for that matter, i was just seeing what
goes on i guess, i mean i live here, why not get involved

i don't think you should really take any of these
recommendations seriously. don't alter your musics cuz of
what someone thinks should be different... unless you really
think it'll help it. good luck, though.

yeah man, thank you.

maybe i could start my own record label, which could give
all the laptop-autechre-like supercolider freaks a chance.
