REMASTERED SAW 85-92?

What's all this I'm hearing about a remastered CD (and
vinyl if not mistaken) version of SAW 85-92?

Boomkat.com is selling the CD, and I've heard all kinds of
stuff about R & S remastering the original and releasing it
in April 2008.

WTF everyone? Is this old news?

Old? Just a bit...it was remastered in 2006. I bought the
vinyl then.
I don't remember the CD being reissued at that stage though
so maybe they are just getting round to it now. I looks as
though the CD box has "remastered 2006" written in red
though.

yeah but richard james wasn't involved in the remastering

it's a cash cow for r & s who are cashing in as usual

is it good?
i don't think it needs a remaster really

it means they lost the original master and had to take it
off one of the old cd's, that's all
some studio idiot will have re eq'd it claiming it's
improved, do it yourself off your old copy

This has great sound and 'finesse'. It has both warmth and
subtlety. It also offers a new smelling CD booklet and a
curved modern plastic casing. When Richard agreed to the
reissue he was overheard to say "those fucking spotty chav
bastard fans of mine will buy any old shit and line my
stomach with there filth. They'll buy this shit and
buurrrrrnn. Burrrrrrrrrrrrrnn!!! ".

The source could not corroborate Richard's exact words.

Is it worth buying or not you saggy titted slags? I have the
pre-remaster vinyl and I want to know if it's worth getting
or completely pointless.

Twats.

like I said in this thread a year ago...

"improved sound without killing the warmth of the
original."

it's a subtle difference (not night and day) but one that
can be heard on a good setup.
