I was planning to do that a couple of years ago, but I simply didn't have the money. Do you have any idea what the prices are now? Russia obviously isn't as cheap as it still was quite recently.

You might want to take a jacket. I hear it's cold there.

Will you listen to BoC while you stare vacantly at the tundra?
But seriously, are you planning to do the Trans-Siberian Railway? I'm determined to do that one some day.

How much distance could you realistically cover on a bike in one day?
Just asking

Im fascinated with remote places. I just can't eat yucky food. Which keeps me out of traveling to strange locations. Like China. I could never eat what they eat in China.

80 kms if its flat land
the idea would be to combine bike with train
like few days by bike, some day rest advancing by train till some appropiate place to do it on bike for a few days again...and so on

the main problem is that in that area villages are far more distant than that
wich would mean spending nights in the middle of nowhere
I would have to study that

you would get eaten by sibirian tiger.
but it sounds great, i too one day will hopefully try out the trans sibirian railyway...while there's still untouched nature to see.
