somet shit liek that. Yeah. So like I bought this new 'hard
drive' whatever that is. NE WAY, so like after I receive
this 'hard drive' I know how to 'put it' in like to the
thing you know. but what im axing you is,
wait wut was i axing yu?

oh yeah, so like on the bottom of this 'laptop' there is a
sticker that says 'woindwos 2000 profucking fessional', so

you could put a newer windowz on it, but wuld
recommend sticking with 2000 cos its pretty stable and less
bloat.ed than xp. if the laptop is recent enuff it might run
XP fine tho..but win2000 with latest services pauks shud be
able to do everything XP can

is that what you were axing?

Yeah, I probbly want windows 2000000 still. But given there
is a sticker on the bottom of the cumputer, does that mean
this windows 2000 is still on the computer in some sort of
extra reinstallable partition (so when I put the new hard
drive in, I can just install to a fresh windows without
buying another copy of windows).. or does the sticker mean
win2000 is on the hard drive, and so changing hard drives
would require a new operating system purchase, werd.
ps. Thanks for the TECH help *thumbs up*

the sticker just means that the computer came with this
operating system installed already, and that it's the
recommended one to use on yer machine.

there are no hidden compartments hiding the OS im afraid,
have you still got yer install/recovery cds? its best to use
these, as they carry any extra drivers ur notebook needs

The OS (Windows 2000) is there in the case, but it could be
anywhere. Inside the vents on the power supply, underneath
the motherboard, snugly inside a RAM slot, etc. Open your
case and coax it out with some tuna or haddock then
quickly grab it and stick it in the SATA power port
on the back of the hard drive.
