MATH ROCK

hello,

the other math rock thread is a monstrosity - foals and
battles are some of the worst bands to emerge in the past
few years, and aren't mathrock by any stretch of the
imagination.

THERE

have at it, and buy the full album.

It sounds like a band being a little boring making music
from the 90s in the 2000s.

The so called math rock genre is gradually turning into a
parody imo. Bands try to outdo eachother by coming up with
more and more ridiculous and 'complex' time signatures, no
matter how shit it sounds. It has become a wanking
competition.

No one today can rival the old school math rock by bands
like Slint and Shellac imo.

I know. I'm bored, I'm bored in general and I'm bored of
music. Explain to me why this is good, I'd appreciate it,
honest.

well,

i think it's a very beautiful song, and perhaps if you
downloaded (or indeed bought) the album, you might come
around to my opinion

they're easily one of the most innovative and inspiring
bands i've come across in the past 10 years, so, do give
them a chance
