Yup, GIMP is a little funky if you're not used to it, but

hey, i got gimp on linux for free. i thought only linux had
it.

why not buy XP or download a demo version ?
dual boot xp and vista..then you can use xp progies

im gonna add another vote for GIMP here, its open source and
thus free and supporting open source software is always a
good thing.

also, why not just revert back to xp? its not like there are
any programs requiring vista yet, and with nLiteOS
you can remove any unnecessary components and get a super
fast install thats under 300 mb!
