it's still fun (I admit, I laughed @ HIV positive), but there have been an increasing number of mediocre episodes, I hope they keep it cool a few more years - unlike, say, every other american cartoon... |

wow, this idea of attaching nationalist sentiments to cartoons is something new to me. surely you know almost every country in the world is making cartoons, and it is no longer a given that 'cartoon' stands for 'american'. Most of the interesting cartoons at the moment come from asia (japan, korea) or europe (U.K., france), perhaps soon Iran, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. That's just some perspective. And of Finnish cartoons, the Moomins, which probably never reached a wide audience in the States, were Big in Japan and Europe. The Americans do either Disney/Pixar features or raunchy post-ironic adult comedies which they're very good at. But some things, all things, have an end - so why are the Simpsons still on the air? |

Actually the last two or three seasons of south park have been among the best - the worst for me were in the middle (a few years back), when it seemed it might turn to crap but happily they injected some vital jism into it. |

yeah, season 11 was amazing really. i do agree with shows calling it quits once they've had a fair run, except you really can compaire different seasons of south park and watch how its trying to keep itself fresh. it's still a hilarious show so im happy. (they're bound to stop the show one of these days tho).. |

im watching through season 10 again on allsp.com and goddamn between the go god go story arc and meanbearpig, this really is one of the best seasons the show has had. not to mention the death of chef, the wow episode, tsst.... ah, its fuckin brilliant. up there with seasons 5-8. of course thats a really big range to call the best, but i couldnt choose from any season in that range - theyre all perfect. not a bad episode in the lot. "take a picture of the sound, steven." |
