binaerpilot, max tundra (new album soon!), er, i can't think
of many people... some of si begg's stuff, osymyso maybe?
try some niche or skweee mixes if you just want some
stupidly fun dancing music. lots of fun but maybe not
precisely uplifting, i dunno. you've probably heard all this
stuff anyway :)

pretty much any italo disco record
captain ahab for the stupid booty bass and lyrics
cassetteboy for the coy edits
most freestyle records from the late 80s/early 90s are fun
too.

Here are some albums I listen to for teh fun:

Out Hud - S.T.R.E.E.T. D.E.A.D.
(Out Hud might be labeled with the 'dance punk' scene, but
this album is very different from that imo. It's funky,
super wierd and fun.)

Ween - Chocolate And Cheese
(Ween's most famous album and a real laugh.)

Talking Heads - The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads
(Talking Heads' best live album which also serves as a 'Best
of' album. They were an amazing live band.)

Isolee - Wearemonster
(Wierd synth/electro pop. Strange song structures and ideas
set it apart from similar acts and makes it really
enjoyable.)

Frank Black - Teenager Of The Year
(Frank Black's second solo album after the break up of
Pixies. Highly underrated compared to the Pixies catalogue,
I think. It's a great party record.)

Did you hear the 'Steak' soundtrack. The quentin (Mr Oizo)
film? There are two tracks on it that are great! Actually
three. It's like Vampiros Lesbos mixed by a techno Dj in
parts.
