I'd be interested in hearing what people think of this
piece (called "Garden") I composed with a wonderful viola
player called Sarah Sarhandi. It's nothing like my usual
material, and it might not be everybody's cup of tea. It's
out on Hypnos at the moment.

Please go to my myspace and listen to "Garden".

Well, there's two discs worth of material out, but you're
right, It'd be nice if I could do more with her
specifically. Unfortunately, that seems unlikely. :-(

CS2x is the most promising producer on xltronic. Everything
is just amazing.

Good work!

Who wrote the viola line?

NICE!

To be any bit critical perhaps my ears were searching for a
stronger melody, it seemed a bit meandering in parts. But
overall I liked the sound of it, lovely as. Always expect
quality from CS2x and have yet to be disappointed!

Whoa that's lush! In all honesty I had my doubts whether I'd
like your ambient work, but if this is the kinda stuff
that's gonna be released, I'm (hopefully) buying it straight
away.

The part after 2:38 or something when it goes less oriental
is great!

It's a pretty good track, but could you do a remix while
keeping in mind what Carlos said to Mozart: "What's the fuck
is wrong with a beat to back that fat bastard up? You wanna
make us dance to the ceiling, daß ist gut, but how the hell
you gonna do it with a harp and a flute?"

Carlos & Pedro add+. 'Cause you're famous.

very nice my man, I really get the same feel as the film
"HERO". awesome.

you've created a nice space with the track, nothing is
forced

listening to other songs, amazing. great fluidity and
changes..reminds me of Mark Morgan's stuff (did the Fallout
soundtracks) in that respect in Lost Highway.

Thanks for listening everybody. :-)

Drunken Mastah, smearing the piece in beats sounds like an
interesting idea, but I'd have to make sure Mrs Sarah
Sarhandi never, ever found out. These viola players can be
quite frightening, and I'm a wimp.

Hey, I haven't heard this yet. Maybe I will tomorrow. Your
gig the other week was cracking though. I was miffed to have
to leave as I did. Fucking public transport.

Probably buy this on some sort of easy listening rack at a
place that sells plants, next to a cd of whale 'songs'. But
its great quality.

You might be right, but considering the track that comes
before it on the disc, which only the strongest sort of
person could survive listening to without having a
particularly vibrant panic attack, it can only be a good
thing.

Its sounds like the soundtrack to some derivative asian
flick.

it seems that you start far away from each other,
progressively approaching and finally become one. and
enjoying it.

I came up with a few melodic ideas and then she used those
and also improvised around them and embellished them. I then
edited down our two live parts afterwards and created a
second ambient section based on those original melodies.

The garden is a pretty one, but there might be crows.
