i told them to shut up as they were pissing off the whole bus. i felt rotten for being so rude, but did acheive peace and quiet and one guy even thanked me, but i still felt like a cunt for doing it. besides, why the drivers don't do anything about it is beyond me. |

it's just all part of the current chav trend. when i was young, we used to play the music from our homes, open the windows and kinda show off. it was awful music too, but you grow out of it i spose. the problem is, theres always younger kids just around the corner to pick up the mantle and it seems that they're being increasingly extreme in everything they do. people used to moan about headphone leakage when on the bus, so i guess the natural reaction for a rebeling youth is just to play them on a speakerphone. even asbo's are something kids aspire to, rather than feel ashamed about. there comes a point where enough is enough though. i don't think the original poster should feel the slightest bit wrong for what he did. i think half of the problem is that your average person just lets them get away with whatever they want, so they'll obviously take advantage. reasoning with chavs is impossible, you have to resort to being aggressive or confrontational yourself just so they can understand you. horrible music for horrible people basically. |

i symphatize fully with iiiiiii, i think it's very anti-social to sit in the buss with a little gettho blaster telephone playing in your pocket it interupts my 'quiet' time (it's fine when people talk) because i just can't cope with background music. i think most people don't want background music they don't choose, so i think it's anti-social to provide this music i never say anything however, i usually i just walk away to a quieter part. |
