It IS an amazingly good game... But a pit pricy, considering
that i'm emulating it for $0

I have a feeling the people bidding that much for the game
will probably continue to play an emulated version, or their
"play" copy of the game. Anyone who pays 1000 for the sealed
game and then opens it to play it, thus destroying the
value, is insane. :]

but I do agree that $1000 is a bit pricey!

Hehe, yeah i know. If i had millions, i would probably waste
money on stuff like that.

I'd like to give as much money to charity as I can before I
die, but given my sense of frivolity, I'd probably end up
spending a ton of money on collectors items if I had
millions, too.

The videogame collectors market is pathetic. Out of touch
androids selling copies of Mario 1 and Dragon Warrior for
ridiculous prices.

As long as people do not know any better, the market will be
extremely over priced.

I'm sorry but a factory sealed Chrono trigger is NOT worth
1000$.

Perhaps, the beta cart, with deleted characters, changed
story, and in game debugger or something... something
unique.

They sold over 2,000,000 copies of this game. NOT A
COLLECTORS ITEM. Grrrrr.

It makes me really angry because when you do want to buy a
game for some obsolete system they sell it for 40-50
dollars.

Nah, fuck that noise, the load times killed it. The SNES
cart is the tr00 Chrono Trigger.

I still have the cart and the manual, but none of my SNES
boxes have survived.

I could get Chrono Trigger and FF3 (cartridge only) at the
used shop here for 120$ each. I want to but I just don't
have that kind of money. I already have secret of mana,
evermore, mario rpg, among other rare snes games. Doesn't it
piss you guys off that we used to own these games and just
sold them off to afford the next big thing the old mags were
ranting about? I've owned chrono trigger on 3 instances.
Fuck.

to pay for it.

Yeah...

Who was everyones favourite character???

Frog does it for me. Even tho his skills arent usually the
best for what i need, i just love his persona, and the story
behind him.

it WOULD be overpriced, but then again, for that price you
get like a DOZEN UNIQUE ANGLE SHOTS of the unopened package
in the bid, from all conceivable angles and distances - that
ups the value at least ten-fold...
