Lazy Linkage

For me listening to the stream on the main site, its like
everything i hoped the fragile & the last 3 horrible albums
sounded like in my mind but never came to be...(although the
fragile was okay)

Its all instrumental so, no need to worry about stupid ass
lyrics that came from some 12 year olds diary or myspace
blog. Its nice to actually hear all of those synths that
have been show in his studio.

the music arrived unexpectadly as the result of an
experiment...the rules were as follows: 10 weeks, no clear
agenda, no overthinking, everything driven by impulse.
Whatever happens during that time gets released
as....something.

the team: atticus ross (awesome), alan moulder &
trent...with some help from alessandro cortini, adrean belew
(double awesome)

im thinking about the $300 edition. i'm so happy im not
drunk today, if youd posted this yesterday i wouldve ordered
it and not known until the next bank statement.

if you're that big a NIN fan, i guess the $300 is worth
it... i paid top dollar for the limited edition of
Quaristice... but that came with extra material.... you
don't actually get any extra music than the $10 2xCD set...

wow, this is like the perfect nine inch nails album... all
the best elements of nine inch nails all here, I knew he
would make an album like this eventually! Whatever anyone
says about Trent Rexnor, he's a phenomenal composer of
music.

This is a really great album (what I've heard from the first
9 tracks). It's really crazy that the ultra deluxe
collectors item sold out. Didn't he make this in 10 weeks ?
70 / 36 tracks = 2 days per song ... lol

Oh well, I don't care, this album is cool I'm happy with my
super not deluxe edition.

"We have SOLD OUT of the 2500 Limited Edition Packages."

$300.00 * 2500 = 750000

-$3000.00 vinyl
-$2000.00 CDs
-$3000.00 art (maybe ???)
-------------------

Holy crap, he still made a ton of cash from this.

offline jules from United States on 2008-03-04 09:15 [#02181636]
Points: 754 Status: Lurker

those special editions probably cost a ton to print,
especially since there are only 2500. i would guess he spent
at least 15 grand on the printing of that.

either way, i think this record is very cool. i likey so far

id say about one about of every 5 songs is excellent, if i
were to narrow the 4 cd set down to 1 cd of distilled
hardcore NIN beats i would have to say this is BY Far the
best theoretical
NIN album ever.

Some of these tracks are good. Still don't care for NIN,
even the good tracks on here remind me of that depressing
NINature, like ambient filler on one of the albums.

offline jules from United States on 2008-03-05 06:22 [#02181920]

yea, i think so. 15000 dollars/2500 le sets = 6 dollars a
piece. Its gotta be way more than that i think. have you
seen the pics of that ultra deluxe edition? its really well
done. there is a hardcover slip cover and multiple page book
and 2 separate prints. If you see it, you'll know it costs
more than 6 dollars. imo

oh wow this is really good. some very interesting, bleak
ambient stuff reminds me of selected ambient works II.
there are some really classic sounding heavy NIN style
industrial tracks and the last 5 or 6 tracks of ghosts IV
really caught my ear as being fucking great. lots of great
piano stuff on here too in classic NIN fashion. The final
track with the prepared piano is amazing. lots of the
tracks have great sound design and texture. i'm really just
blown away here if i didn't get that point across yet.

a good, stoned listen last night and.. damn.

thank fuck

El Rezzo is back

i had lost a lot of respect for Trent after the past few
years. i saw the rot start with Deep, and then on from there
it kinda got rather stupid.

a lot of the tracks on this release reminded me of the Quake
soundtrack, in the sense of arrangement and sequencing.

i look forward to hearing more, and the return of El Rezzo

Update from T-Rizzler on ETS...

teitan: "A few quick things...

None of this music - not one note - was written before we
started this in October.
This is not in place of YZ2 - that will come along when it's
ready - there are more elements involved.
The "no titles" will make more sense next week. Huh?"
