News report music

There's something very intriguing about this kind of music.
It gives of a sense of emergency (probably due to the
assocation with the news-media), which I nevertheless
enjoy.

The old SEGA game-soundtrack to Ecco the Dolphin, gives me
the same impression, and obviously a couple of BOCs tunes.

Nakaido "Chabo" Reichi - MJ-XX

Ecco - Title Song

Ecco - The Machine

Ecco - The Vents

Ecco 2 - Title Song

and finally (a genius video as well),

Boards of canada - m9

What's your opinion on this kind of music, and do you have
any recommendations (are there any)? Come on, let your witty
jokes be. They need to rest, anyway.

I was actually terrified of playing Ecco the Dolphin when I
was young. I remember diving too deeply in the game had the
same effect on me as playing Silent Hill 3 has today. :)

Mohamed, I guess you will enjoy this link:

videogames thru the years so i can0t recommend you some,
guess that's the sensation i'm looking for all the music i
listen to.

Ecco did have cool music. That old Genesis FM synth could
sound really moody in the right hands.

Yes, it must have to do with the synth. It's very
unpretentious, in its simplicity, and directness.

They never play real news report music on my tv anymore.
How can I know the future is coming without it? Can't.
Nothing sounds as urgent as the real news report music.

My public radio news still does and one show's theme sounds
a lot like the 'Cheesy Poops' song. Does anyone know what
I'm talking about?

As for recommendations, check out Kimitaka Matsumae: You Are
The Fox. I remember disc #2 had a bit of sound you are
looking for. Type "mutant sounds fox" into Google for a
link.

Apparantly it seems all the ECCO-links are broken in the
first message. The music's from here:
