oh sandy what is it with you today? :P
sometimes i think about this question and i get a feeling of complete amasement.( the universe that is) it is completely unbelievable to be balancing/walking on a big spherical rock traveling at thousands of miles an hour through space etc...
obviously i dont know the answer ,all i do know for sure is that compassion/empathy is the key to a happy life for all.. And this knowledge has to be protected for a time when there is no g bush or G brown and we have this placed in the national curriculum and wonderfully inspired in us all.
then perhaps when all this economic madness is put aside we will start to see the truth of the universe from within?

I totally know what you mean. When you just sit back and distance yourself from what consumes you on a daily basis you realise just how bizarre everything is...and your nothing but a tiny dot on an ever expanding plain of paper.

yeah i wonder how much bigger the universe is now than it was 50 years ago?
all this matter had to come from somewhere ,if not , there had to be something that triggered the big bang...there couldn't have been 'nothing' that is impossible there had to be a chain reaction type o thing going on.
maybe we are in a simulation machine?

we look at a tree that came from a tiny seed...almost like the big bang...so the seed the core of the big bang might have had energy recicved from a source like a tree receives from the sun , water gases and nutrients externally ...whilst the little microbes we are inside unaware of the outside just the ever expanding inside of the tree.
you can use whale ,dog or cat etc ,,,in this example :P

yeah, i've thought about how advanced computers are getting, and their respective programs. If you understand life is full of information, [no matter how advanced it] it can always be broken down into building blocks. essentially atoms/quarks/strings/whatevers . perhaps so small that one day everything can be transferred into the digital domain.
may sound far fetched, but life is already crazy enough to dismiss "the sims" theory haha!
not really what i bilieve, but it could be possible i reckon.
Hmmm...you say the big bang couldn't have come from "nothing"...but, how more unlikely does it sound that it sprung from nothing, than from something? the quantum world is unstable, so it might just be possible. they could be going off all the time as i write this. as chickens from eggs as do big bangs from nothing.

haha... I first read that as simply "oh sandy what is it with you today? :P " and "sometimes i think about this question and i get a feeling of
complete amasement."
...ya know... without that second line being about the universe...
For a second I was thinking I must truly appear to be fucked up to get that kind of reaction. heh...

basically god wanked us all into existence whilst he was on a massive booze bender!
he was sat there hogging the kettle chips when satan nudged him in the ribs saying...."i bet you cant create a pointless spherical joke smothered in dickheads and poison"
now god got pretty pissed off at this point and over the next few days he did his best......
tah dah
now my question to you folks is if god did create the earth in such and such time......who the fuck created space?

hey maybe we might need a universe just for our computer ...we create one with a big bang and then send in tiny robots to build the computer forever getting bigger and bigger..and with a large scart and usb socket poking out the side of the computer universe into our living universe ...kinda thing.
wonder why we would need sucha big computer? maybe we will all be living in it.....trillions and trillions and trillions of liforms all living inside the large ever expanding computer universe.

I've been thinking that we are actually being farmed and sometime soon we will be eaten or used for something.
I'm sure there are other humans out there, some what like us , that are being farmed by some superior species only to be exploited like we naturally exploit weaker living creatures, for their own good.
Kind of like that twilight zone episode but more brutal and scary.

I believe that both the universe and matter itself are finite. I believe that time, on the other hand, is infinite.
If you put something which is finite (the universe and matter itself) inside a framework of infinite time, then the consequence is this: Everything will, sooner or later, recur.
In 56465424882311886418752873 billion years I might be sitting here and typing this exact same post on xltronic.
Happy thinking.
(Check out Nietzsche's concept of 'Eternal Recurrence' for more reading.)
