smoking is hella stupid. one of the only things i believe in.
you'll smell better, you'll stuff will smell better, you'll have more money in your pocket, you won't be perpetuating a weird custom to look cool.
i'm totally addicting to jackin' off and i once went over 30 days without that!

only 2 or 3 slip ups, but not at all bad considering how many i used to smoke.

Good luck, I don't think I know anyone that's quit. Supposedly my grandparents both did back in the 60s. But maybe cigarettes are too experienced and good at their job now.

i am proud to say that I am at the point where I can just have one here and there, or start one, put it out and save the rest.
Some people say they couldn't do that but it comes natural to me now. More than half a cig and I'm sick of it.

Nothing different.
They're both mainly psychological and social addictions caused more by a mind set than by any sort of physical reaction, and as such, they're both life-long addictions; the sudden appearance of a new "opportunity" will re-actualise the urge (if even only in the form of a question) and every urge will need to be met with the same resolve as the original resolve.
Settling in with being a "non-smoker" could lead to either complacency or denial, none of which are a good position for once again facing a new opportunity.
Choose now to quit smoking, but keep in mind that the choice you make now will have to be made and made again every time you face any opportunity to start smoking again; you are a smoker, and you will always be one, but you can be a non-smoking one.
I also support the "it's easy to quit" notion; Every single person I've talked to who smoked "back in the days" (before they "knew" smoking was "addictive" quit smoking with the greatest ease (we're talking over night here, and not only one or two people).
It's not because they had more willpower back in the days, but rather because their "addiction" hadn't yet been reinforced by social and "knowledge"-based views on it; they hadn't been told it was addictive.
"Addiction" is a powerful responsibility-waiving device.

if it makes you feel any better, after my grandpa had a heart attack many years ago the doctor told him if he didnt quit it was likely to happen again and he may die from it. He quit cold turkey and never started again. His son (my uncle) died before he did, and he was always a smoker. Smoke the good stuff, it has been proven it cant kill you.

"Smoke the good stuff, it has been proven it cant kill you."
where did you hear this?
bob marley died from lung cancer so i assumed not.
the good side about green smoke is that you dont need so much !! you don't need 40 a day ..if your good you could have a few pure spiffs and just damage your cardio vascular system and alter your mind in loving way of course :P .
or vaporise it. less damaging.

I need to get a vaporizer. I smoke about every day and sometimes I feel that hot burn in my chest in the morning. The combination of smoke inhalation with increased heart rate and blood pressure fluctuation along with any added anxiety can't be good for your ticker either. That is why one or two rips does me right anymore if I try to blaze it I usually end up feeling uncomfortable.

right so i got drunk today and spent my time with a smoker who i always smoke constantly with and still i didn't give in to the desire. i'm so impressed with myself right now. i actually can't believe i've managed to resist whilst being pissed. fuck i fancy this girl so much though. being so close to her and drunk as well and just having to leave her for her to then go off to her boyfriend. damn, there was much closeness and hotness. the lusty smell and the heart racing and syncing, feeling one another, only to say goodbye and sink back down. still though, no cigarette for me

i quit my pack a day habit cold turkey five years ago. took me many failed attempts, but finally....
every time i had a craving i would tell my self that i could have a smoke in ten minutes, just not right now, and then ten minutes later i'd tell myself the same thing.
quitting was the hardest and most rewarding thing i've ever done, but it's not like it's over. if i smoked one cig it would be back to square one and i know it. i'm still addicted, i just don't smoke.

I bought a vaporizer 4 months ago and it has saved me sooo much money from all the bud I conserve. It easily paid for itself by now, doesnt smell so I dont worry about pesky neighbors, and its way smooth on the lungs. I highly recommend them to any smoking enthusiast.
And yes Bob Marley died from a cancer in his toe that spread throughout his body, he refused medical treatment for it because of rastafari beliefs.

i nearly had a heart attack after the first length of the pool when i gave up .
i held onto the side of the pool hoping my heart wouldn't explode
but a week or so later i got better. ive always been able to cycle for miles but swimming is somthing diffrent and the tar build up was obvious to me.
i kinda want a spliff tonite but if i do id destroy all my hard work. just takes one drag to f*k up all the little nerves ive re grown ..maybe a vaporisor or id eat some weed. :P

lol mate, yesterday i felt my legs boling under the water and when i came out the pool i nearly fall on the ground and throw up under the shower. when i back there the first time i took my old cap, that ripped itself to pieces when i tried to wear it. even the children were laughing at me, so the.. lifeguard (i dunno how to say it in english) lended me a pink one. there was some kind of divine punishment for me that day, but that couldn't stop me smoking weed, or good hash.. not now. what the hell is a vaporisor?

I recommend going on vacation for 2 weeks. Maybe move in with your parents. Somewhere to get away from stress, fellow smokers etc...Its much easier that way. Surf the waves of cravings get.. through them and after 2 weeks you are unhooked. You never really want them again.

i quit this time last year, since then i have not smoked a single ciggarette, however I have smoked a pipe with weed at festivals and also cigars on special occasions. i found the first 3 days were torture, but enjoyable in a sick kind of way because i thought of it like a scientific experiment and kept a diary of my findings.

larn yeah the first few days are quite enjoyable in a strange way.
mohamed yeah.thats them....what you want from a spiff if the THC right! the bit that gets you high...thats in the weed...if you heat the weed up the THC evaporates up and you breath that in ..not loads of casonagens (cant spell) paper tobaco burnt weed tar . and 1000s of chemical shit etc .....
with proper weed you get very high indeed off these things one drag you go bye bye!! haha
unless your amune then you need more. hey its not like smoking a spiff ..its not so destructive.
