The sea. I cant go in it or be too close to it and small
boats (as in smaller than an ocean liner) are a no. Also to
a lesser extent lakes and rivers.

Also agoraphobic, I suppose. The worst manifestation of it
was my second year of university, I would walk to a
classroom but then find myself unable to go in, so I'd walk
on by. I spent an entire semester wandering around the
library too scared to go to class, that really fucked up my
grades. Scared of what... I dunno lol

So you are afraid to leave your house or your city? I
understand silly things taking hold of your life. It really
sucks and it makes you angry at some point.

Put me in a crowded room where I can walk and I'm fine. But
put me in a crowded classroom and I'm liable to panic. A
crushing feeling, short of breath, other people can easily
pick up on these sorts of things. Then you "imagine" you're
drawing even more attention to yourself. A vicious cycle.

When I tried taking night classes, I had a set route I used
to have to follow to every room. Either crowded areas or
completely desolate ones. If I was walking along a walkway
alone and saw a person or group (worse) coming towards me in
opposite direction, I'd go into prolonged panic mode. Where
do I direct my attention, should I pretend like I'm doing
something, know they'll definately know I'm crazy. It would
get progressively worse the closer they got, until I
errupted. JK. This was after I had a few nervous
breakdowns and actually was pretty mad. Since then, I've
learned to be cold and disconnected. I am just a ghost now
and it suits me fine.

a lot of phobias can be quite disibilitating and arent a
particularly funny subject to be mocked, especially if u
suffer from them.

schizophrenia, who's fucking insensitive american money
grabbing shitbag's idea was that i wonder

Another agoraphobic here. I'm on welfare because I can't
keep a job, left school in my second-last year because it
was too much. At the moment I only leave my house once a
month, to go to government-funded counselling. It's fucking
horrible (the agoraphobia, not the counselling).

Also really, really hate spiders.

I have a big problem with heights. Can't even walk within 8
feet of the edge of a tall building if there's no rail,
can't deal with ladders, and I refuse to walk up and down
stairs if an object (big box etc) is obstructing the view of
my feet. It's this disorienting loss of balance occurs in
any of these situations, strong enough that it might
actually cause me to fall.

Planes and rollercoasters are fine for me though. huh.

i don't think it's really a phobia, but it is a powerful
emotional reflex. i find insects and spiders very
interesting and love looking at them, but if i find
something crawling on my skin i reflexively freak
out...sometimes.

My junior high teacher had a phobia of balloons. She went
completely hysterical just at the sight of one. We taped
balloons to her car several times :( I still feel guilty
about that.
