Movies that made you cry

I rarely cry, but some movies have made me weep like a
little girl.

- The Pianist. (The absurdity of WW2 just hit me hard.)

- The Elephant Man. (Probably one of the most uncomfortable
movies I've seen. The Elephant Man deserves a bear hug.
Poor, poor man.)

Any movies that have made you cry?

The only time that I recall crying about something I
watched, was when I watched a documentary on black history
in America (slavery and segregation).

I almost cried when I watched that documentary that was
posted on xlt, where a wolf (or maybe dog) was skinned
alive.

Can't think of any movies, though.

lol

Don't remember but I think that Closer almost did that
effect on me and Little Miss Sunshine (because I've l.m.a.o.
when that little girl starts stripping and spinning
everywhere).

The Keep. I couldn't believe a movie based on that story and
premise could suck so much.

I haven't cried in years. Last film that got the waterworks
flowing, if I remember correctly, was Short Circuit 2.
Those men beat that poor robot mercilessly. But then Johnny
Five's body got replaced with golden parts, so I guess it
was for the better.

Plenty of movies have gotten me a little damp eyed since
then. But real full-blown tears? No.

How do you feel about the fact that The nebula the film
refers to is clearly shown to be the Orion Nebula in the
constellation Orion. This nebula is not the result of a
dying star as the movie states. Instead it is an area of
intense star birth.

Eternal SUnshine of the Spotless Mind
That's the only one. The scene starring Jim Carrey crying in
the car while listening to Beck's Everybody's gotta learn
sometimes is beautifully shot. Gets me crying everytime.

the end of six feet under leaving me teary.
Same :)

Eh, I get my emotions manipulated so easily, let me see:

- Rasen (Ring: Spiral)
- Japanese Story
- A.I. (once near the end, then again in the credits when it
mentioned Kubrick) :(
- Monsieur Ibrahim and the Flowers of the Koran
- I think I had a little cry at the end of Kitano's Dolls
- Kikujirô
- Tony Gatlif's Swing
- Y Tu Mamá También
- Snow Falling on Cedars
- A little weeping at the end of Spartacus

;( I'm sure there's a lot more...

Oh god, that Chinese movie... Wo de fu qin mu qin (The Road
Home) that made me cry heaps, it's a beautiful movie.
There's a thread on IMDb that just is lots of "manly men"
saying I've never cried ever... but goddamn that movie made
me cry like a baby ... eh, here's the thread:
uncontrollable sobbing

I think I actually like crying in movies, I do it so rarely
in 'real life' ... it's an interesting sensation.

I tend to get a little teary eyed when a character that
starts off bad sees the error of his ways and tries to
redeem himself...

some examples:

Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, when he finally helped to old
homeless man only to have him die in the street

Billy Bob Thorton in Monster's Ball, when he went over to
the little black kids that he threatend earlier and
apologizes...

And even a few characters in the show "24" who start off as
antagonists only to become patriots sacrificing themselves
for others...

I don't know why that formula gets to me, I'm not usually
one to cry in general.
