geogaddi, i dont rate it, very poor attempt at a "perfect"
album, still love music has the rights to children though

*climbs into bin, cover ears with hands, waits for
backlash*

I love the track Gyroscope on Geogaddi. Man that track gets
me nodding :) Boom chidleladap Boom chidleladap

hmmm i'm almost thinking of not getting Geogaddi now, The
Wire gave it a bad review too.

I like it alot, but still like MHTRC and Hi-Scores Ep
better. However, I am also still awaiting Boc's "Perfect"
album, which will blow everything out of the water.

It's a very focused cd and doesn't take you anywhere much.
I find that on MHTRTC as well. That's the only problem with
BoC. I'd leave it. I can bring myself to recommend it.
Dl Gyroscope. Wicked sweet track.

dont let me stop you!, i personally dont rate it, dont enjoy
it in any way. Particularly dont like the digital fake
ageing of the sounds , particularly that overused distorted
flute like sound, its all so poor

Yeah, the ''perfect album'' bullshit is just... uh...
bullshit! It's nowhere near perfect... but it's damn good. I
still like Music Has the Right to Children a lot more,
though.

i didn't know there were live bjork dvds. I don't really
care for live stuff though.

20 quid thinly spread over 3 discs is taking the piss. just
because I buy vinyl doesn't mean I have twice as much money
as someone who buys cds. actually more like half as much.

you've got to give geogaddi time. i like it more every time
i listen to it

i fell in love with geogaddi the first time i sat down and
listened to the whole thing from start to finish. I think
its like a movie, it doesnt make sense unless you watch in
chronologically.

So, when you have a chance, set the mood, turn on a black
light, and put on geogaddi.

offline Clobe Smith from san francisco (United States) on 2002-03-25 06:45 [#00140663]

totally. whenever i listen to geogaddi, it's like being
some where else, and being in a totally different state of
mind. i love the album

offline Cabbog from Chautauqua (United States) on 2002-03-25 07:57 [#00140699]

It differs from Music Has the Right to Children in that it's
not as simplistic. I think a lot of people expected
Geogaddi to be Music Has the Right to Children 2 -which it
definately is not.
Anyway, if you want to get an impression of what the album
sounds like before you decide to buy it, I'd say try
downloading these songs:
Music is Math
Gyroscope (Boom chidleladap Boom chidleladap)
Julie and Candy
Personally, I think it's a really good album..
Like Clobe said, you've got to give it time to sink it.

Don't forget 1969. I know its kinda cheesy, but its also,
like, one of the best songs I have heard in ages.

Geogaddi is awesome. I really like it. Altho BoC never
claimed it to be anywhere near a perfect album.

offline REFLEX from Edmonton, Alberta (Canada) on 2002-03-25 08:41 [#00140722]

I love geogaddi for all the reasons it is not MHTRTC and
what not.. and vice versa, so I guess you could say I love
all their stuff for what it is.

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2002-03-25 17:26 [#00141356]

I think we should start a cult baised around BoC's music. We
should practice Jesus, and BoC, and polygamy.

great.

I initially was uncertain with Geogaddi but I'm strangely
drawn into it time and time again. Just like MHTRTC it has a
few fillers, but how can anyone overlook the musical beauty
of Sunshine Recorder?

Kara what happeded to your pretty picture?

Its not fucking "intelligent dance music"!!!! I HATE THAT
WORD, I HATE THAT WORD I HATE IT!!!!!!!! Marvin Gayes music
is that IDM? Bob Marley is that IDM? BOC is that IDM? and
Geogaddi ROCKS!!!

oh comon, Geogaddi is simply exquisite. It's beautiful,
moody, warm and highly loveable music. It stands next to
Music has the Right.. as a proud, younger brother. It most
certainly isn't IDM indeed, and anything BUT disappointing
to me. The only reason I can imagine anyone giving it 'just'
three stars is it isn't revolutionary.
Otherwise, it's not perfect but pretty perfect
nevertheless.
Most definitely my favourite release of the year so far.

Diego; shouldn't you be out spreading doom and such? Telling
people why they need to feel sorry for themselves, and
should wallow in self pitty. Shouldn't you be telling us we
are stupid? Not that this or that album is good or great?

I think your picture obligates you to at least 5 minutes of
curmudgeonry for every hour online.

nah, listened to it a few more times today, its just poor

rehashed them to make this one. nowhere near perfect. weak.
bland. mass market. yeuch!
