I would like to share with you some new music. If you have the time and the inclination to listen I would be very grateful. I would also like to thank SlipDrinkMats for pointing out how I change the name on my myspace profile. Typically, it was very simple and I totally overlooked it.
Anyway, Priapism.

Woah! I'm used to far more melodic pieces from the bastard formerly known as Skink (not formally, dear). This is a new begining, a Year Zero, the sound of the slate being wiped clean with a very bleachy cloth. I like these post-blast soundscapes, may you build upon them, or reduce them further to ashes.

I really loved those two tracks. I'd like to hear them in 5.1 surround sound, really loud, in a zoo.
But seriously, good work. Wondrous sound design. I like this new direction (although I liked your old stuff too, for different reasons.)

so far it sounds... scrapey. this tune, that is. it's a bit self indulgent, reminds me of 80s merzbow.

These are good. They suit my taste. I like how they're off the grid.

Are pieces like thos e going to come out soon? it'll be good. More of it on a cd, and with the good cover like the old cover.

really digging 5475. reminds me of throbbing gristle or squarepusher's "vacuum garden" if it were in a film. if you like this stuff, i have an album full of this material here.
Anyways, I love stuff like this. Keep it up, I've always dug your stuff.

it's hard to evaluate something so delicate and refined on shitty earbuds at work, but it's intriguing stuff. maybe the biggest trick will be learning to not rely on reverb to build the sound. a glacial movement asks to move deeper into the sound itself. remove the atmosphere so that it can be seen more clearly.
i can't help but wonder, why priapism? why disease or disorder?

Oddio: Thanks dude. I will have to check that release of yours out asap.
Plaidzebra: The reverb makes more sense when you listen on speakers. I also love reverb as well which probably dosen't help.
There are two reason for the name Priapism. The first is schoolboy laughs. The second is kind of more meaningful and the real intention. It symbolises the pointless frustration of the recent times in my life. The shift in the focus of my music has been due to in part to my mental health which has always been a problem. Most recently though it has been very hard to deal with. Writing 5457 days was actually very difficult. I have found it very hard to write anything because of the chaos of my mind.
I hope that kind of covers it for you. I like the name Priapism but I am not sure if it going to stay. There appears to a lot of bands with the same name.
