Anyone ever taken it? iv been on it for 3 weeks and its
killing me, dried face, lips(flakes falling off), muscle
pains, itchy eyes, depression (feel worthless no
enthusiasum) sensitive skin and err i sware im having audio
halucinations, i heard a woman say something about a numatic
drill, then i could hear a drill, but the tv was off, and
there was no other source for sound in my house. scary shit
man. so i wonder if i should continue or not. how much worse
could it get?

What are you taking the drug for, if you don't mind my
asking? Does your doctor know you're experiencing those
side-effects? I'd say definitely ask your doctor if there's
another prescription that treats your condition since it
seems you're approaching the point where the benefits will
no longer outweigh the risks.

in the leaflet it says one of the serious side effect, is
the user attempting suicide. so its pretty damn potent

Larn, I started taking this right after I turned 17
and stopped medication roughly a year after (acne had
entirely cleared!). I experienced some dry skin sensitivity
during the first few months as well as muscle weakness.

23 now, and since then I've been diagnosed and treated for
major depression and anxiety disorder. IMHO Roaccutane does
cause severe hormonal, emotional changes. Whether roaccutane
treatment is worthwhile depends on how much your acne is
affecting your overall health (social, mental, etc.), but
I'd attribute your depression directly to the drug, which
can kinda help in willing away the blues.

I'm glad I don't have wicked acne scars, but I'm positive
the drug tweaked my developing, adolescent biology for the
worse. Please take all this into consideration, my friend.

Is there a difference between Roaccutane and Accutane? My
cousin took the latter and it worked wonders for his severe
acne.

dude, stop taking that. sounds like you gotta ask your doc
about alternative meds, cuz that many side-effects just
aren't gonna be good for a long term treatment.

K. Well, he seemed to suffer no ill effects, and in fact
swears by it. But hey, you never know with this shit. Too
bad to hear about youse guys' troubles with it. I have lots
of experience with side-effects caused by otherwise godsend
drugs, and for me, medical messageboards relating to either
illness or specific drug helped me find out some good
info... but they can also scare the shit out of you, because
they tend to be populated by people that are having
troubles. So you're basically hearing an overabundance of
horror stories.

But I'll stick with any drug if it works, unless my dick
stops getting hard.

Yeah, my older bro took the drug too and seems to have had
no problem. My body responds heavily to medication, with
initial exposure always being way intense.

I wrote up lengthy report of my own Roaccutane experience,
very very helpful stuff for you, then I deleted it. So
let's keep this short, if you feel like you're going to die,
it's not worth it, to the trash with it. They got a related
topical gel called retin-A that works sort of the same way
with less extreme conclusions. You don't get residue in
your eyes like you can with the pills. Them pills made my
lips crack open and gush blood and turned my face to
plastic, so soft and pink. smooth also. Then the pills
made my legs stop working, great pain and I had to limp
around with umbrella for balance. Doc say it's a rare thing
I did and gave me something new for crushing me. A hollow
glass wand filled with spicy solution, you rub the wand
against the face and it drips. It made all my pimples
return just like new! At the grocery store, the cute
counter ladies no longer gave me smiles and then one night
some stranger at the bar came up to me and called me a
heinous beast then laughed to friends. How did they know it
was my birthday.

Accutane worked great for other folks I know. If you have
the kind of acne it's supposed to treat, it will treat it
fast and permanently. No need to load your body up with
antibiotics for the rest of your life. I gave it all up,
and at 23 it began to go away. Bumpy scars and fuzzy eyes.
Have you ever watched the show Lucky Louie? Well, probably
not. But if you had, you'd know of Louie's wife, that
petite brunette number. Guess what.. she provides the voice
for none other than that kid on King of Hill, Bobby. That
show used to be really funny, I haven't watched any of the
newer episodes, no TV you see? Musical Jackets smile.

I remember before accutane, I tried a topical acne cream
that kinda worked, but looked like I had crusty jizz all
over my face. It was probably one of the ads at the bottom
of this thread.

I always wanted to see a sitcom where all the actors either
had bad acne or scars. Acne-enthusiasts, turn the pharmy
industry on it's ear.

I took a form of retin-a for a while. Not great..Then I took
some amoxicillin type drug and it worked. Many years ago
now. They are getting crazy with the side effects these
days. I heard one drug commercial that stated some people
might find the urge to Gamble. Gambling as a side effect?

haha, same thing happened to me! I thought a condom I had
used had a hole in it or something, and that it might be a
herpes wart... thank god it was a false alarm.
