leaked! 2 previously unreleased songs!
maybe there are other people who are into beck, or people
like me who used to be much into him, and stay pay attention
when a release like this comes along:)

it's his best album, after that he just started repeating
himself.
i like a few tunes off mutations and midnite vultures,
especially "diamond bollocks".

everything he's done this decade has sucked.

i wouldn't say everything after odelay was repeating
himself.
while his done folk songs before, not with production or
certain qualities as seen on mutations.
and midnite vultures was a different sound again.
seachange i guess wasn't very new, but i still like that
one.

guero/the information aren't all that special though. i'd
definitely understand if you said he was repeating himself
with these albums.

the flow of odelay is awesome btw. 10/10 song after 10/10
song, if you're into that kinda thing ^^

i agree with epohs. mellow gold is the perfect beck album.

thanks for the tip! i consider odelay to be one of the best
albums from the 90's.

and did you know the mop on the cover is actually a dog?

The information had 2 or 3 decent tracks.
fanfare dance alone and the informatiom. not outstanding but
good enough to be on my ipod.

...richards hairpiece is the only interesting thing on this
release isn't it?

i think its probably one of the least interesting songs on
it

lets face it, the only way Beck isn't going to repeat
himself is to not do any acoustic guitar songs and not do
any dustbrother / hip-hop inflected beats. In short, he'd
have to go country and not actually do what beck does.

i wouldn't mind a country album.
he and his current recorded all these country covers last
year or so. i was really hoping those recordings would come
out, but they never did (except for Forget Marie)
yeah, i want him to do something new again. getting a little
of the same old..

there's a bunch of country stuff by beck. i don't think he's
capable of making a great album again, actually, but i hope
he proves me wrong. there's too little motivation though.

mutations might come close, but theres no album thats all
country, or even mostly country..
i guess if he did do one it wouldnt be very new though.

he needs to make a free open experimental album. having
crazy expectations is stupid though.. should just listen to
something else..
