polyrhythms, anger, metal and laughs!

nice.

probably the worst album name ever. i don't really like
their music either, it loses its appeal with too many
over-complication gimmicks. i can respect them, but that
album name is like something out of a terrible
aimed-at-14-year-old-girls networking site with bratz-like
avatars.

yes it's awful. what's even worse is the cover art.

musicwise... yes it's superstress, and i can't stand the
singer...

dunno.... listening once on crappy pc speakers, and it was a
bit more "oldschool" than catch33.... the opener might be
their straightforwardest piece ever... ultraprecise
production as always... maybe lacks a bit variation
throughout the album, maybe not :]

Oh, I didn't know about any new album. As soon as they
decided that they could go for some mellow songs with clean
vocals once i a while they completely lost it. Half of Catch
33 was simply embarassing.

A cast OMG on the cover art.

I have been looking out for obZen for a long time, but it
strikes me as disappointing. Meshuggah will always stay
Meshuggah, in both the good and the bad sense. It's good
that they stay true to their own style and roots, but after
listening obZen I realised I have grown a bit bored of the
Meshuggah trick. I don't think it's a bad album, just
somewhat uninspired and not for me.

And yeah, the cover art of their albums has never been
amazing, damn..

I might buy it anyway, to keep my Meshuggah collection
complete as it is now.

Good first song. Like that it starts like Tool then goes
full pelt. Rest of the album's a bit samey tho, getting sick
of em a bit now.

this first track is a nice mash between rock and meshuggah
and tool
