I was originally pretty excited about this... however it's
extremely overpriced.

Its $1350.

The full desktop version is $1900.

Snow: 4 part multi
Desktop: 16 part multi

If you absolutely only need 4 parts, and something mobile,
and money to spend... ok. But value-wise its horrible... I
rather just save a few hundred more and get the desktop.

If this thing was priced under $1000 then it would have been
a different story.

But people will buy this, because Access is a big name.

I've owned the first model and the sound is awful! Sure it's
great when used at certain points or EQ-ed right, but I've
done everything i could with it, and the best sound it gave
when the thing was off. For example, while I'm a big 303
pulse sexist this thing has the worst of them all, and the
filter... meeeeehhhh. The saw wave was pretty close for
sure, but then it's sequencer blew so much (but I'm sure
they fixed that in the new model). And they're quite
expensive to my taste... around 550 euros for a new model
one?

or perhaps a little under that... but all in all i didn't
like the acidlab that much
