I can't shut down live in the task manager, no matter how many times i try.
How can I shut down the process forcefully no matter what? Is there some application that will shut down ANY process in windows xp?
Reboots are so zzzz

It happens from time to time with audio apps using low latency drivers.

you can't shut the application or the process? usually killing the process in task manager does the trick if you know which is the mother app.

sometimes with a few progs running i try n shut em down all at once and get im patient so click with the mouse far to many times. ...my c drive isn't fast enough to shut em all down so quick ...so something gets clogged up.
think a raid set up would cancel out a few shut down problems.
n yeah task manager doesn't shut em down either

make sure youre trying to end the process, not close the program through the 'end program' dialog. your list of processes should have a bunch of .exe's, including a bunch of svchosts.
