We're All Tripping

Is life one big Trip?

like are we constantly going back and forth between
different realities, but our subconcious is lining up
thoughts that keep us asleep?

not like matrix stuff, but that we're all in a form of
sleep, but our energies are giving off what direction our
life goes.

you mean we channel our energies into what direction our
life goes?

no, just like plain and simply, like the way we appear to
other people is not always what is really going on all of
the time. is life, like a drug trip on a broader scale?

it's hard to explain, like the best i can explain it is,
like if we are really alot smarter than we think, and can
communicate more in depth. think about animals.

and if you've ever seen the movie the grren mile, it might
help to see where im coming from, like when that guy john
coffee cures that womans disease by taking in her sickness,
and she said that she was wandering through the darkness and
she found him.

i dont know how to explain it though, like it's like a
secret to life no one talks about.

i guess what im trying to say is, i think i know why the
bible is still so relevant today, cause it is the only thing
that people can remind themselves of something spiritual
withouth even having to really see whats happeneing.

I bet there were tons of Jesus' type people who could kind
of show people that life isnt just this. but i may be just
getting off the point.

if you stop and think every so often. look around you and
try as hard as possible to think and look in a way that you
are disassociating from yourself at your surroundings then
it's hard not to believe that life isn't one big trip

reality is definitely subjective

offline rockenjohnny from champagne socialism (Australia) on 2008-01-22 00:06 [#02166170]

simply put, our thoughts and our five senses stand between
our mind and the true nature of reality.

any preconceptions or somatic impulses serve to filter an
experience.

this is why the use of drugs to heighten ones awareness of
reality will always result in compounded delusion.

the effect of this practise is the addition, not the
subtraction, of filters between the mind and reality.

how can a controlled environment offer freedom?

that's just to say brain activity stands between your 'mind'
and 'reality', which may or may not be true.

yeah that brings up another argument. my understanding is
that the mind exists before the ego and all other brain
activity. others will argue that the mind is only the sum of
cortical impulses.

Well, the mind is huge and possibly non-local, but the
function of the brain is make possible a KIND of mind, a
KIND of consciousness. It's the difference between
individual and collective Will or Mind whatever you want to
call it.
