Novation ReMote LE 49
Has anyone tried this midi keyboard? I'm in the market for a new one, looking for one with nice quality action on the keys and also real-time control (of which this thing appears to have a decent measure). Would you recommend any midi controllers other than this one that fit the same specs? Mainly I'm wondering about the action of the keys on this one because I can't stand cheap keys with weak response. It doesn't necessarily need to be weighted, just responsive and sturdy. Thanks.

i got an emu x keyboard ...not that good really i would avoid them. i bought the little one for portability.
and an evolution 149 which i rather like cause i can play the keys really fast for drum sounds. and they are light n sensitive ..
its really nice to play on..
i got the evo from international stock for like 15 quid 10 years ago. i split a drink in it and one of the key doesn't work now...so im hoping to buy another or very similar.. it has no knobs or sliders tho...
probably best to go try the keyboard you want in a shop before buying on line,.

I heard these are pretty good for midi control and midi keyboard usage to your pc laptop or mac. Also i pressed the keys once in a store, they handled pretty good as well. I think you should just go for it mate, and if it's shit, sell it again.

yeah that's a good point, I can always just re-sell it. I'm going down to Sam Ash (the music instrument store in my area) tomorrow to see if they have any novation keyboards so I can test out the action, but I might just end up buying it online anyway if Sam Ash doesn't carry them.

just to add incase you try an x board... and think "hmm nice"....the pitch wheel on mine is very very awkward to pull all the way back to get to a full negative or a full octave down or what ever its set at...y need nails or thin fingers.
its a bitch ...i need to get a hack saw and cut out some of the plastic to make it easy use....might be just mine?? also the knobs randomly send out info all the time....the display constantly flickers .....the velocity keys are dificult to play very soft ....you do get velocity preset .thingys so you can have your prefered response...but i had trouble ....but ..i got mine from ebay as a refurb ....yet...many others have experienced the same...i love emu ..hardware samplers and audio interfaces but this keybaord is a bit knackered. the knobs are not on evenly either. otherwise the keys have a special quality to them but not as fast as my evolution.

thanks for the input/advise, man. I'll probably stay away from the emu boards.
