Should be able to get an A5 graphics tablet for that sort of money, IIRC. Takes a bit of getting used to drawing with your hand and looking at the screen (rather than the 'paper'), but it's surprisingly close to normal drawing. I like Corel Painter as a drawing program, but I hardly use it these days so there might be more up to date stuff out there. HTH.

I have a first generation Intuos 1 and it still works like the first day, it's A4 size which is the most natural size in my opinion at least, you can get one of these on eBay for something like 120 Euro or less, have in mind they are serial not USB, Intuos 2 and 3 are USB.
You can also get a modern one like a Wacom Bamboo A5 size for the amount of money you want to spend, probably the best deal for you.
For directly on screen there's the cintiq but the price is really high and not as good as some people would imagine.

Wow, I had no idea you could get A4 ones so cheap. I would have killed for one when I was doing multimedia.

I've wanted a tablet with a nice stylus for a long time now.. always wanted to get more into computer drawing, as I grew up drawing with pencil and paper as a hobby. This thread has renewed my interest a bit, once I've got some more money I'll probably pick up a mid-range one.

It's great to use on the sequencer to input notes and other programs as well, saves your wrists from carpel tunnel syndrome.

that's cool, I didn't think about using it with other applications... but that sounds great. I'll definitely have to pick one up, now. :]
