I've been playing around with it and my new drum kit and
guitar for the past two hours. I'm really pleased with it.

It's RadioShack brand, but it's the "Omni-directional
Dynamic Microphone". And it works real well in my opinion!
Better than the little 11 dollar karaoke mic from Walmart i
was using, ha.

HAHAHA. No kidding. I guess it's because of the poor
frequency reception. I mean, after all, it's not meant for
recording. But it was nice to have that at the time than
nothing at all, you know.

Yeah, I recorded my drums, lopped different parts, did the
same for two of the guitar lines. Then i recorded one guitar
line straight through. Record a bass riff, looped it. There
it all in some patterns and tried (my best) to master it. I
think I totally ripped off Godspeed You Black Emporer!, but
oh well.

I'm not sure how the sound would be coming out of other
peoples monitors, but coming out of the stereo system I have
(a crappy 2.1 surround sound by CREATIVE), it sounds about
right.

I have heard from a friend you can take a dryer sheet and
stretch it over a mic head as a homemade pop filter. Can
anyone confirm this?
