When I have a hard-on while taking a bath, does it raise the level of the water?
Redrum already answered, but as I know he doesn't post here anymore, I can ask you the question as well.

Assuming that part of your body is above water, the ratio of blood in the part of your body that's under the water to the part above would change, I imagine. So I assume the water level would be slightly altered. Possibly not noticably.

TheRaiRai: actually I tried it a few minutes ago and to be honest, I didn't notice anything.

ah ha ha ha ha...
I think the penis uses blood hydraulics but not really sure where the blood comes from. If your entire body including head is submerged then of course it couldn't change the water level as you still have the same amount of blood regardless of where it is concentrated in your body. But maybe if some of the upper half of your body is above water then your body will have slightly less blood to circulate given that more is concentrated in the penis. So maybe like a few drops that WOULD have been above water now are below water thus raising the bath water a handful of unnoticable drops.

i just got of the phone with al gore and he denied that to be the case. even if your whole body is submerged in the water, it still may very well be the case that the level could be raised, according to mr gordon. reason being that while one part of the body increases in volume, the other part actually doesn't. he couldn't explain why though, but i can confirm by looking in the mirror that my head doesn't shrink when the other grows bigger (and i mean REAL BIG).

Hm, well think about a 2' x 2' x 2' gold cube. For it to expand in volume to 3x3x3 its density would have to decrease (or it could form an air pocket inside). I don't think blood density just decreases or any air pockets form. Maybe you could pop a boner so big the rest of the skin on your body would be suctioned to the bones.

The human body isn't a simple cube, though. There are a lot of structures to consider. If the amount of blood in most of your body decreased, the volume wouldn't change, at least significantly, mostly due to the skeletal system. Your dick, however, is a different story.

Actually you would have to do this all while holding your breath as air would affect the water level much more significantly. Actually while you sit there your heart beat would inevitably make you repeatedly jolt a tiny bit no matter how still you tried to be and maybe this jolt alone would affect the water level more than a boner. But I think the upper body stomach or something skin could easily contract in an amount equal to the boner contraction, just distributed all around so hardly noticable.

Just had a bath, but couldn't measure any results.mumble mumble weener grumble
I think the water level will rise. This is because the area of your body will increase.
The way I visualised it was to imagine a submerged balloon with granules of frozen gas inside. When submerged in the warm water, the solid frozen gas will turn to gas, expand. The balloon expands, the water level rises.
The state of the contents of the balloon changes, but the mass does not.
I don't think I've overlooked anything. P.S. Redrum does post here still. shock.horror.

that one's easy. the gas bubble to the surface and leave the water, obviously she'd then would take up less area and mass. whereas the guy with his boner is a closed system, nothing leaves or enters the water to or from the outside.
