Go-bots I allways thought was a cheap attempt at what
Transformers were! Transformers was my favourite....the
Dinobots were good. Although my favourite Transformers were
Jazz and BumbleBee

Transformers were better. No doubt about it. I just wanted
to feel that I had contributed more than my fare share by
possibly triggering someones childhood memories.

Plus my parents refused to buy me the expensive toys, and so
I had like, 5 transformers, and all the go bots.

But go bots still had a cartoon.

Anybody remember the constructicons? They had a really cool
green color that kicked ass. Plus they turned into a really
big guy, and I remember that one being the first time a
bunch of separate transformers became one big one.

Shockwave was tha bomb.

My mother gave them away when I was 15, without telling me.

them!

Yeah, and a little guy that had fists that turned into
pistons. And he could hypnotize people or cause buildings to
crumble with strange frequencies.

No!!!! SOUNDwave was the tape recorder. SHOCKwave was the
purple, one eyed gun

Then soundwave was Tha man.

A one eyed gun in a childrens cartoon? No wonder we all grew
up spending all our time on the internet.

Looking at Transformers.com the logo or style of the text
has changed from what I remembered it as!

The guy that turns into the fire truck looks cool though!

I was just going through my old toys, and I can't find any
of my Transformers. :-( I think my mom disposed of them.

I liked the blue car - it was more futuristic than the other
one. I liked it when they went into Hydrofoil mode!

....gotta get me a car like that!

I only had about three Transformers....Slag the Dinobot (a
triceratops), Starscream, Bumblebee and some strange little
guy that was one of those 'pull em back....and let them
whizzz!' type of robots with big drills on the end (he was
blue and white!)

Of course! It was great, I saw every single one.. I remember
the first episode, I was well excited!

Yep. That one I remember. They actually played an episode
on tv last halloween and it brought back good memories.
Although I thought it was drawn better than what I saw. But
then again each episode within a cartoon series changes
sometimes in quality. It was a good series being both silly
/ funny and serious.

I found it a bit difficult to get to grips with how really
different the characters were from the films. Especially
with Egon's bleached blonde hair.....

Peter Vekman was my favourite!

I wanted a pet 'Slimer' and a ghost trap to throw on the
floor under my teachers desk, and have them sucked into it!

I bet some of you had the toy 'proton packs' !!

I liked their gadgets... the Containment Unit, the little
guns they had that attached to their backpack, the ghost
traps they threw on the floor... hi tech shit, man!

controlled car instead.

Once, I went into the post office which was right by my
school... I must have been 14, nearly 15... and the bloke
who owned knew me well and said, in front of about 25 kids
in my year

"YOUR TRANSFORMERS AND HE MAN COMICS HAVE JUST BEEN
DELIVERED, DALE!"

I was rather shamed
