I can probably safely agree with that statement my man.

Even though I have not heard it yet, I will seek it out this
evening.

Hmmmm, 6 cd box... looks interresting, although I do find
Davis to be more celebrated than he deserves, like Radiohead
is nowadays. The real genius at work on "On the Corner" is
rather the producer Teo Macero than Miles Davis... So what
does this baby cost then... [checking....] 750 Norwegian
Kroner!!!! (That's about 140 US dollars) I think I'll
pass.... for now anyway...

"although I do find

holly jesus the miles davis group are beyond anything today.
now sequencers are in , you'll never hear anything fresh
,organic (real musicianship that'll blow your mind like
davis again.

unless you take a litre of lsd ,watch radiohead at night ,
full lighting strobe lights with earplugs .

care about jazz or take a hike.

i do care about jazz
yeah maybe not in the last 10 years
but definitely since miles davis' prime

on the corner is beyond "jazz". sure i was initially
attracted to miles davis as a jazz musician but at this
point in his life he kind of evolved beyond that. i dont
think this post is about "jazz" but how fucking awesome the
complete on the goddamn corner sessions is. not about how
fucking expensive this set may be or overrated he himself
was or how influential he was.

I've never been interested in getting 'On The Corner'. I
thought I had all the Miles classics with stuff like
'Bitches Brew'. Is 'On The Corner' more funk than jazz? Is
it his last great release that he put out?
