:D

Yeah alright, the second half speed bit with the melody
totally sucks, but I haven't bothered trying to "reverse
engineer" that part yet, but the first half is pretty
accurate, isn't it?

Any chance for a remix?

is this done with the SPS-1 or the SPS-1UW?

(i only ask because of the reverse hits going on sometimes)

pretty damn fucking cool :)

SPS-1, sampling was done with a Kaoss Pad.

Aesthetics: Remix? All it is is a live performance but I can
link everyone to a download if wanted...

Zeus: Get one. Seriously, Elektron really undersell their
products. The SPS-1 can work as a full 16 channel MIDI
sequencer (3 note poly per channel too!). SPS-1 has pretty
damn good analogue sequencing capabilities too. It really
isn't just a drum machine.

I totally would, if it weren't for the fact that I don't
even have the cost of one in my bank account, and I that I
am trying to save money to move cities.

:(

snare's a bit too loud,

that OH line is off too its missing a hit,

x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-OH-x-OH i think

offline cygnus from nowhere and everyplace on 2008-01-01 18:26 [#02159805]

but yeah that reproduction of that snare effect is dope good
job man

Yeah it isn't 100%, getting closer though. The snare is
pretty much default EFM snare, it's brilliant.

Do they use a lot of presets off that machine?

Well there's a default setting for each "machine" (ie sound,
like there's TR cowbells, snares, kicks, etc., Linn-drums,
yeah) and the LCC snare is definitely a very slightly
tweaked version of the original snare, there isn't much of a
difference. Dunno about the other tracks, I haven't made any
other presets out but there could be. Most of the drums are
MD though.

copying other people's tunes is a great way to learn,
especially on a device like the MD... but an even better way
to learn is to experiment with your own sounds and
sequences. i'll be about 400% more interested to hear your
own work

Hahahaha yeah I don't believe in copying other people,
definitely not. It's just quite fun to see how close you can
get to the original and how much work is involved. It took
me 15-20 mins max to do the first half of LCC, it was really
pretty damn simple.

My own work

I totes failed on trying to recreate Sublimit again. altho,
I only spent about 10 minutes on it before I gave up. I was
pretty damn close with my first attempt.
