I'll looking to buy a decent camera for under £100. apart
from trawling amazon reviews, can anyone here lend any
recommendations or experience?

cheers.

You can't go far wrong with the Canon Powershot A series. If
you aren't looking for a fashion statement last years A560
model appears to be on sale for £94.

ive had very good experience with the canon ixus range, I
dont know prices though but I think they are probably a
little over £100 new.

my friend just bought this samsung one that is going for
£80 at currys, it seemed very good to me

The samsung one's I have used artifact quite badly in low
light. The ixus aren't bad though.

Another vote for Canon here. I bought a powershot sd600 last
year and it's great. I think it's an obsolete model now so
maybe it's discounted if someone still has some lying
around.

Oh look at that, they call it an Ixus in the
yookay.

Here are some photos tooken with it.

the ixus series is pretty nice, but they are worthless when
it comes to any sort of manual controls. in this regard the
A series is a bit better but to put it quite simply, i
wouldnt even bother if you've only got 100 pounds to spend.
Double that and you'll have something worthwhile, like an
ixus 870 with image stabilization and wide-angle, or an A640
with flipscreen.
