even just learning about what you see and how it's composed based on varying factors etc
i think it's so important for people to know about this stuff. why was none of this mentioned in my school days?

I think they should teach you philosophy, ethics, critical thinking, stuff like that. Mind you, we some of that in RE and nobody paid any attention anyway.

perception & visual communication should be taught at school, yes. visual literacy should have equal status with 'book' literacy.
